Objectives

Students must be able to:


1. Identify various types of computer hardware and software
2. Understand the procedures of opening and fixing computer parts
3. Install computer operating system, device driver and application software
4. Install computer peripheral
5. Able to test and troubleshoot computer

Synopsis
Computer Setup consisting of verifying computer room safety, inspecting computer room
facilities, defining work order, assembling hardware components, installing computer
peripherals, executing hardware components and computer peripherals testing, preparing
hardware and computer peripheral setup document, installing operating system and
device drivers, ensuring computer operating system and device driver functionality,
preparing application software and executing application software testing. The content of
this module is used to design, teaching, learning activities and assessment tools to
evaluate trainees performances.
