LabVIEW for Robotics Starter Kit Tutorial

1. Launch Measurement and Automation Explorer to get the IP of the robot




2. Click the + next to Remote Systems

3. Select your robot and note the IP Address. If your robot is on the network, but MAX cant find it,
it is probably because it is hard coded to an IP on another subnet. To reset the IP, turning ON
(Down) DipSwitch -3 and pressing the Reset switch. Wait 10 seconds and then turn it off again
and hit reset again. Wait 10 seconds and hit refresh in MAX.

4. Launch LabVIEW 2009 Click on Robotics Project

5. Select Robotics Starter Kit and click Next >

6. Enter IP

7. Enter Project Name and browse to Project Folder

8. Please wait.

9. This creates a new project (Starter Kit Roaming\Project1.lvproj) and opens Roaming.vi which is
the sample application which drives the robot around avoiding obstacles. Follow the instructions
to execute the program on the robot.
