3. HEALTH HAZARD IDENTIFICATION ACUTE TOXICITY

1 INHALATION Mist can damage upper respiratory tract. Prolonged or
repeated exposure may cause ulceration and perforation of
septum

2 INGESTION Can cause severe burns to mouth, throat and may be fatal.

3 SKIN Severe burns

4 EYES Severe burns leading to blindness or permanent injury.

5 CHRONIC EXPOSURE Can cause sensitization of skin, ulceration of respiratory
tract, and possible lung cancer

4. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID MEASURES

1 INHALATION Remove victim to fresh air. If breathing has stopped,
administer artificial respiration. Administer oxygen if available ,
seek medical attention.

2 INGESTION Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek
medical attention

3 EYES Wash with plenty of water, holding eye lids apart to ensure
flushing of entire eye surface.

4 SKIN Wash with plenty of water, if irritation or burn develops, seek
medical attention.

removal of chromium & dispose of in accordance with state &
local regulations.

HANDLING Use only in well ventilated areas. Containers will contain
hazardous residues Dispose off in accordance with state and
local regulations

STORAGE Store in cool & dry place under closed condition to avoid any
contaminations. Loosen cover cautiously when opening. keep
container closed when not in use. Keep only in original
containers Keep away from alkalis and organic chemicals.
