Overview: Microsofts Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) first became available in AutoCAD R14 as a new Application Programming Interface (API). Since then it has grown to be the most versatile way to program AutoCAD and interact with other Microsoft applications. The VBA interface in AutoCAD allows you to easily code and test your programs as they develop no compiling necessary. Even the novice programmer can learn to use AutoCAD VBA effectively to create custom applications that can improve your productivity!
Pre-requisites: AutoCAD Experience Familiarity with MS Windows
Course Description: This 3-day course teaches you everything you need to know to begin writing powerful VBA programs. After learning a few VBA fundamentals, you will begin using the VBA interface to create forms and macros that perform actions in AutoCAD. After fundamentals, you will continue to develop skills necessary to create more powerful programs. A spiral-bound 886-page book with sample code on CD-ROM is included in the training for you to practice on your own afterwards.
