A) PRE-REQUISITES FOR USING THE DEVICE.

1. Attach the adapter to the device


2. Insert Battery in the slot backside of the device
3. Insert SIM card with GPRS activated for transferring of data to the server
4. Switch ON the machine

B) USER REGISTRATION
1. Press MENU button to enter into the menu options. You can find the following options in biometric
machine




1. Select USER MNG to register the user and press OK
2. Select NEW USER to register a new user and press OK
3. Input ID. No. Of the user
4. Select FP to register the fingerprint of the user and press OK

6. Place the finger in the slot three times to register the user and press OK
7. Press ESC to return to the main menu or continue to register another finger for the same user
8. Scroll down to the OK option and press OK
9. Select OK to save the registration
10. Continue registering the users or press ESC to return to the USER menu
11. Press ESC to return to the MAIN menu
12. Press ESC to completely return to the Main screen

C) DELETION OF ENTIRE DATA/USERS
IMPORTANT NOTE: No OPTION to delete the SINGLE user or record.

1. Press Menu button
2. Select SYSTEM in MENU and press ok
3. Select DATA MNG in SYSTEM and press ok



4. Select DELETE ALL option in DATA MNG and press ok.
Thus the entire data was deleted in the machine.



D) DISPLAY PHOTO IN THE BIOMETRIC DEVICE
1. Create a folder in your computer SAY in C drive or D drive
2. Name the folder as - photo.
3. Scan the photographs of the students and rename the students photo with the ID number and save.
The size of the photo should not be more than 26 kb.

E) HOW TO UPLOAD A PHOTO???
1. Format the pen drive and copy the folder PHOTO into a pen drive
2. Select COMM option in MENU and press OK
3. Select RS232/485 in COMM option and press OK
4. Enable the USB option i.e., change it to ON mode and press OK.
5. Press ESC to return to the main menu, Connect pen drive to the pen drive port.



6. Select PENDRIVE option and click on OK button.




7. Select UPLOAD option In PENDRIVE and press OK.
8. Select UPLOAD PHOTO option and press OK. Then photos will be uploaded to the biometric device




F) HOW TO CHECK THE ATTENDANCE AND TAKE A PRINT??
1. Select RECORD option in the Menu bar and press OK





2. Provide START DATE and END DATE in the fields of RECORD




3. Go to ATTLOG and press OK then you can find attendance in the machine, now press MENU, you can
find a PRINT option & press OK.(Printer should connect to the device)
4. If want individual attendance provide the ID no. of particular person and repeat the first 3 steps

G) MANDATORY FIELDS IN THE MACHINE (NOT TO CHANGE)
Select COMM option in MENU .and press OK

1. Select Network in COMM AND PRESS OK.






IP address must be 192.168.1.201
Subnet mask must be 255.255.255.0
Gateway must be 0.0.0.0
Net Speed must be AUTO

Press ESC if the fields are correct or change to the following settings and press ok, then press ESC

2. Select WEBSETUP Option




Web server must be 115.118.0.174:85 for EGMM,
115.118.0.174:82 for MEPMA
Enable Proxy Server must be OFF and remaining all must be Zeros.

Press ESC if the fields are correct or change to the following settings and press ok, then press ESC

3. Select MOBILENET Option





Whether use must be Y
APN Name must be
airtelgprs.com for airtel users
Internet For Idea users
Wapsouth.cellone.in for Bsnl users
Access Num must be *99***1#
User Name must be username
Link Pwd must be password
HTSERVER must be115.118.0.174

H) H0W TO KNOW THE DEVICE SERIAL NUMBER?
1. Select MENU and press OK
2. Select SYS INFO in the MENU and press OK
3. Now press the right side button to the OK now you can find the device SERIAL NUMBER
