opportunities for full-time Multi-Media Advertising Account Executives.

Based in Downers Grove, Suburban Life is publisher of 20 weekly newspapers that serve Cook,
DuPage, Kane and Will counties.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for selling print and online products, building strong client
relationships and providing superior customer service to merchants in the LaGrange and Carol
Stream areas.

The ideal candidates will be goal-oriented consultative sales professionals, with positive mental
attitudes and strong communication skills. The successful candidates will work well under
pressure and be strong closers. Display advertising and/or online sales experience preferred.

We are currently hiring a Senior Sales Professional to focus on the sale of
real estate advertising in the Western U.S. for The Wall Street
Journal. Digital advertising sales expertise is a must, along with print
advertising sales included in past experience. Will focus on targeting clients
on the West Coast and within year one, will be singularly focused on a newly
launched real estate product. Experience working with luxury clients;
boutique real estate, builders and developers is a strong plus. Must have true
passion and enthusiasm for luxury marketing or other related segments.
Responsibilities include growing WSJ market share and launching new real
estate product. Experience managing a CRM system, preferably
Salesforce.com (SFDC) along with a proficiency with MS Office products,
including Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Excellent writing skills are also
a must.
This is a senior position in our company. Professional experience and
references must reflect same. Ability to verify high performance metrics is
necessary.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Star Tribune is seeking an experienced graphic designer/developer in interactive media
and advertising design. A successful candidate will work closely with internal and external
clients to provide high-level, customized solutions by building and designing digital ads using
the latest software: HTML, Flash, CSS, Photoshop and Illustrator, PHP, XML, CS5-Action
Script 2 and 3, video. This person will also be responsible for troubleshooting and problem-
solving technical issues. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven work
environment with strong attention to detail in order to deliver creative solutions on time and
as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced web designer with a balance of web development and ad design skills along
with the following:
Extensive knowledge of design applications such as HTML, PHP, XML, Flash, CSS,
Photoshop, Illustrator, CS5-Action Script 2 and 3, and video
Strong understanding and experience in providing creative design for medium to large
customers
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and external resources, including external
vendors and clients.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines
and work well under pressure
