1. Course objectives:
This course is intended to introduce the basic principles of electrical energy
to be converted to mechanical energy and vice-versa. This will introduce the
magnetic & insulating materials used in the construction of electrical
machines and transformers. The course will expose the students to detailed
working of D.C. machines as motors and generators and those of Single and
three phase transformers.

2. Learning outcomes:
The outcome of this course would be a thorough knowledge of DC machines
and Transformers.
