Economic Solutions are recruiting a Facilities Assistant to provide day to day support for all Facilities
Management issues that are the responsibility of the Economic Solutions Facilities Management Team
To be based in Manchester City Centre.

The duties of the job include:

Provide day to day support for all aspects of facilities management including:
o Post sorting / franking / distribution;
o Management / replenishment of stationery and other stocks;
o Reporting of office machinery problems and any ongoing maintenance as required;
o Fixing (or arranging the fixing) of lighting / heating and other facilities problems;
o Checking and coding of Invoices;
o Moving furniture / fitting shelves etc and other ad hoc jobs that are required at any location;
o Any other duties as reasonably required.
Provide proactive identification of premises issues and problems, and manage the resolution of problems,
either directly or via third party using MS online faults logging system.
Provide day to day liaison with third party suppliers, e.g. removal firms, and milk delivery, etc.
Purchasing of kitchen consumables (tea, coffee etc).
Coordinating archiving: the retrieval and collection of archiving boxes and consumables via online systems
or fax.
To update and ensure the accuracy of the Facility Management Database.
Support the management of third party contracts, e.g. price analysis of competing companies, in order to
help us get value for money.
Administration of key company systems, e.g. allocation of car park spaces

We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Previous experience in a facilities management environment
Previous experience of dealing with and managing third party suppliers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to plan and manage work tasks to time and within budget.
The ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.
Good interpersonal and team-working skills.
Good attention to detail, ensuring that jobs get finished properly.
Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
A Full driving licence.
