You shall imagine the Shaambhavee and Shambhu Guru couple ( being Shiva and Shakti ) in human form
and with red and white feet, who together are the very embodiment of all the Gods and is a respresentation
of Devi Maaa Tripurasundari adorned with read and white coloured sweet smelling pastes, and ornaments
and garlands [7] with 4 hands ( one holding lotus, the other embracing his Sakti who is seated on his left
thigh) the other two hands showing Vara and Abhaya Mudras ( blessing and refuge ), with a pleasant happy
face, with the mind in estacy arising out of supreme knowledge and eternal union with the absolute, and the
sadhaka shall imagine a flow of Nectar from those feet flowing over you and removing all the blocks, karmic
or otherwise, that stands in the way of your spiritual progress, visualise the Guru as Shiva himself and recite
the Guru Paadukhaa Mantra thrice of five times. [8]
*************************
[1] Here you have to see that your sadhana starts at the very moment of waking up. The First thing you do is to meditate on the Guru. It must also be
remembered that the whole process is a dynamic meditation that is taken on slowly and effortlessly. You do not try to visualize the image and hold on
to it indefinetly with your body contorted in difficult position. You just lie down and for a MOMENT visualize. Then let go. As time passes the image will
become more and more embedded in the memory and will become clearer and clearer.
[2] Samghatta Mudra is holding the thumb and the ring and middle finger together and the forefinger and little finger extended and letting all the
fingertips of one hand meeting the same fingers of the other hand and let the tips of the middle, ring fingers and thumb of both hands to meet at the
venture at the top of the head
[3] Here we see how Guru is to visualized. In tanra no guru is to be meditate upon as alone. Guru is always with his shakthi. If it is a female guru (
which is considered very auspicious ) the Guru is meditated upon as with her Shiva. In short Guru is Shiva and Shakti is human form and should be
considered as such.
[4] Referring to the full state of union with absolute
[5] Always a symbolism for full knowledge and the ability to clear doubts of deciples
[6] The Three pairs of feet are those of your Guru, Parama Guru and Parameshti Guru ie Guru his/herGuru and his/her Guru.
[7] In another version the Guru has red feet and his shakti has white feet.
[8] This is the first visualisation that should automatically come to mind so that slowly you get the feeling that "all my karmic and other blocks are
gone" and such faces the world as a "clean" person. This confidence is essential for Sadhana and real life. As the visualisation becomes part of the
mind, your confidence will increase and with that your success in sadhana and llife also shall show an upswing. I do not say that there will NOT be any
problems, there will be, and this will just help you to accept it with fortitude and also help you sirsumvent them.
