Step 1: Check HR11i Installation Required Step

Ensure that Oracle Human Resources 11i is installed with the most up-to-date patch according to
the readme file for SSHR at the time of installation. SSHR Implementation Steps 12-3
Step 2: Check the Apache server Required Step
Ensure that the Apache server and Apache JSER are installed. Set up the Apache server as
specified in the Oracle Self-Service Web Applications Implementation Manual !availa"le on
#etalin$%.
Step 3: Apply the patch Required Step
Appl& the patch for the latest version of SSHR and ma$e sure that all prere'uisites are met(
including those for the Oracle Applications )ramewor$ !OA)%.

0ou should remove transaction information from the temporar& ta"les for processes that support
9e" transactions. :o do this( include the Remove :ransaction activit& in the wor$flow process.

:he wor$flow cleanup process ena"les &ou to remove wor$flow processes that are left running if
a s&stem crashes or a user I; is disa"led or removed. :he process cleans up temporar& ta"les "&
removing redundant transaction information. 0ou can specif& which transactions are 'ueried "&
the process "& setting the :ransaction Status parameter.

0ote: )rom SSHR 5.1( the 3omplete ;efunct 9or$flow <rocesses concurrent process is
registered under Oracle Human Resources instead of Oracle Self-Service 9e" Applications. If
&ou previousl& scheduled this concurrent process to run when still registered under Oracle Self-
Service 9e" Applications( &ou must cancel the process and resu"mit it using the new 3omplete
;efunct HR 9or$flow <rocesses registered under Oracle Human Resources.

1o run the re2uest set:
1. In the Re'uest Set field( enter the name of &our re'uest set.

Step 13: Set 5p Access Roles or Sel-Service Actions Optional Step
If &ou want to ta$e advantage of securit& "ased on access roles when routing and approving self-
service actions( &ou must first activate the s&stem profile option HR* Allow Approver updates to
Self Service actions. Optionall&( create and assign roles that grant or den& privileges to update
actions. All users can update "& default. ;efine and manage access roles in the #aintain Roles
window.
Step 1): Set 5p 6li-i*ility /rocessin- or Sel-Service Actions Optional Step
0ou can configure SSHR to automaticall& determine if a person is eligi"le for a self-service
action. :o do this( &ou set up eligi"ilit& profiles( reporting groups !actions%( and plans !su"
actions%( using SSHR 3ompensation and =enefits functionalit& as a generic processing engine.
Step 17: (ink the Responsi*ilities to 8our Security /roiles Re2uired Step
Ase the S&stem <rofile alues window to lin$ the responsi"ilities &ou have created to &our
securit& profile.
Step 29: Set the HR: Cross ,usiness :roup /roile Re2uired Step
If &ou want &our managers to "e a"le to access data for emplo&ees in other "usiness groups( also
set the HR* 3ross =usiness Broup responsi"ilit&.
Step 21: Set the Allo# :ranted Access /roile Re2uired Step
If &ou want managers to "e a"le to access data for wor$ers outside their securit& profile whose
information has "een released to them using the Release Emplo&ee Information function( also set
the Allow Branted Access profile option to 0es for the responsi"ilit&.
Step 43: Set 5p 4ocument ;ana-ement !ptional Step
If &ou want to ma$e formatted <;) documents availa"le to users that contain merged data from
self-service actions( create <;) documents and lin$ them to appropriate menu functions "&

Step 44: /opulate the 6mployee 4irectory Re2uired Step
0ou must load data from &our data"ase into the repositor&. At this time &ou can override an& of
the supplied mappings with &our own data. See* <opulating the Repositor&( page --+1

Ase the following procedures to load HR#S data into the Emplo&ee ;irector& repositor&. <rior
to loading the data( &ou can optionall& configure the data for &our legislation and countr&
re'uirements.
1. Ase the supplied override pac$ages to override values in the repositor& ta"le columns for
individual legislation teams and customers if re'uired. :he overrides are effective when &ou
refresh the repositor& in either 3omplete or Incremental refresh mode.

program populates the repositor& with data from HR#S ta"les.

:he Refresh Emplo&ee ;irector& concurrent program uses the following parameters*
0ote: If &ou run the Refresh Emplo&ee ;irector& concurrent program in 3omplete Refresh mode
with <rocess #ultiple Assignments set to 0es( su"se'uent runs in Incremental Refresh mode
with <rocess #ultiple Assignments set to 4o will have no effect. Incremental Refresh mode does
not remove previousl& populated secondar& assignments. 3onversel&( if &ou run this program in
3omplete Refresh mode with <rocess #ultiple Assignments set to 4o( then su"se'uentl& run in
Incremental Refresh mode with <rocess #ultiple Assignments set to 0es( secondar& assignments
will "e populated.
