    Slips, trips and falls were the most common workplace accident in 2011, totaling 2,480 injuries across various industries such as manufacturing, construction, wholesale and retail trade, and hotels and restaurants. Struck by moving objects caused the second highest number of injuries at 1,780, followed by cut/stabbed by objects at 1,373. The manufacturing industry experienced the highest number of injuries from slips, trips and falls, struck by moving objects, and cut/stabbed by objects. The data is based on reported incidents from Singapore workplaces under the Workplace Safety and Health regulations and includes both fatal and non-fatal injuries.
