Electrical and Electronic Principles

This document discusses three tasks related to electrical and electronic principles: 1) Finding the Thevenin equivalent circuit and maximum power transfer for a given circuit. 2) Calculating node voltages and using mesh current analysis to find loop currents in another circuit. 3) Explaining mechanical resonance as the tendency of a mechanical system to absorb more energy at its natural frequency of vibration compared to other frequencies, which can cause catastrophic failure in improperly constructed structures.

Task 3(P1-3,M2)
A] Resonance:

Mechanical Resonance: is the tendency of a mechanical system to absorb more energy
when the frequency of its oscillations matches the system's natural frequency of vibration
(its resonance frequency or resonant frequency) than it does at other frequencies. It may
cause violent swaying motions and even catastrophic failure in improperly constructed
structures including bridges, buildings, and airplanes a phenomenon known as resonance
disaster.
