One credit point (hgskolepong) corresponds to one credit point in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). 2 Decision and approval This course is established by School of Computing 2011-06-10. The course syllabus was revised by School of Computing and applies from 2011-08-29. Reg no: COM 560-0077-2011 3 Objectives The course aims to provide the student learn how to scan physical objects and print virtual models. The student will also be able to make an assessment of where the different methods are most effective and worth using. 4 Content The course will give: an overall understanding of work with both 3D scanners and 3D printers. knowledge to create and print gaming related objects and design production prototypes. 5 Aims and learning outcomes After completion of the course the student should: understand the technical aspects of both 3D scanner and different 3D printers. be able to create virtual models for 3D printing. be able to describe a work process both visually, verbally and in writing. be able to organize a project. 6 Generic skills The following generic skills are trained in the course: Independent work. Oral and written communication. page 1 Probelm solving. 7 Learning and teaching Teaching will mainly be held in swedish (english literature).
