July Spirited Adult
Services Newsletter
SAS bowlers are taking most of the month off to accommo-
date summer vacations and the leagues will start back up in
August. Sit outside under the stars on a summer evening and
watch a Broadway quality musical at the Muny with us. Stop
by the Community garden to check out whats growing and stay
to help pick whats ready. Join the Volunteer Club filling bags
of food at the Harvester Christian Church food pantry. Come to
the V.P. 4th of July parade and celebrate St. Louis turning 250.
Attend Dinner Date Night and mingle with old friends or
perhaps make new ones. Go on a fishing trip with us to Bush
Wildlife. Join other Cardinal fans and have a meal while you
watch the ball game at a Sports Bar. Attend the Sno-cone So-
cial and enjoy a sweet treat while visiting with friends. Visit the
Great River Museum for an interactive look at the Mississippi
river. Play a round of putt-putt golf with us. Stay cool inside
the new SAS room and join us for crafts, games, Wii bowling,
puzzles, cooking classes, karaoke, scrapbooking, exercise clas-
ses, floor bowling, movies, friendship circle, spin baseball,
horseracing, bingo and more!

7/1 Scrapbook club-Scrapbookers meet the first Tuesday night of
every month. Bring your photos or other mementos and use the
provided tools to create scrapbook pages or make a paper project

7/3 Movie - The movie will be Monuments Men


7/4 V.P. Parade- We will be watching the parade in a special des-
ignated area for parking and viewing. It is a fun time as we cele-
brate St. Louis turning 250. We will meet at a special designated
location before we enter into the park. If you have any questions
please contact Sherifa at 314-302-7155.

7/7 Fishing Trip Busch Wildlife is where we plan to take our
fishing adventure this month. Bring a sack lunch and join in on
all of the fun. Meet at the Mueller Rd Office no later than 9 am

7/7 Muny- The Gershwins "Porgy and Bess" A love story filled
with wonderful music and acting. Meet at the Muny. Sherifa is
group leader for this event so contact Sherifa at 314-302-7155 for
questions.

7/8 Cooking class-Learn how to make popcorn and have fun ex-
perimenting with flavors.

7/11 Movie - The movie will be Thor : The Dark World

7/12 Birthday Party- Celebrate everyone who was born in "July"
with refreshments and fun.

7/15 Volunteer Club- Tonight we will fill bags for the Harvester
Christian Church food pantry. The church address is 2950 Kings
Crossing 63303 and the food pantry is on a lower level that can be
reached by an outside ramp. If you have never been there and are
having trouble finding us you may call Angelas personal cell
phone 636-219-4221.

7/18 The movie will be Grown Ups 2

7/19 Craft Create a beautiful summer craft for your
outdoor space

7/19 Tonights movie in will be baseball themed. Re-
freshments will be served.

7/20 Dinner Date night -There is no registration limit for
this fun way of mingling with new and old
friends! Register for dinner date night and several
days before you will be notified of your restaurant,
your dinner dates (a small group), your leader, and
even a look at the menu if possible. You are then re-
sponsible for your own transportation and funds: meet
at your spot at 5pm and enjoy your date.

7/22 We are meeting at a sports club venue to watch
our mighty Cardinals. The game starts at 7:15. Come
out and cheer on your Cardinals.

7/24 Great River Museum join us for an interactive
look at the Mississippi river and how vital it is to our
community. There are models of the different types of
steamboats, canoes etc that have used the river for
travel. There is a simulator that allows you to drive a
barge down the Mississippi. It is free to visit the muse-
um. Bring money for lunch. Meet at the Mueller Rd
Office no later than 9 am. To return around 3pm.

7/24 Book Lovers Bookclub It has been a long time
since we met due to some circumstances out of our
control, but we will keep moving forward and conquer
all. Come join in at the Spencer Creek Library upstairs
to find out what book we will read this month.

7/25 The movie will be Son Of Batman

7/25 Sno-Cone Social- Cool off from the heat with a
sno cone and visit with friends!

7/26 Join us for a round of putt putt golf. We will
meet at Cave Springs Golf Center at 10:00 am.


7/28 Muny-Seussical is a musical about Horton the ele-
phant narrated by the one and only Cat in the Hat. We will
meet at the Muny no later than 7:30pm.


7/29 Movie Out TBA
