Te red, white and blue Delta livery is replacing Northwest colors
on all aircraf and airport signage as the newly merged airline is
established in 2009.
Mesaba, the largest Saab 340Bplus operator in the world, has a long
history with Northwest and will now serve as a Delta Connection
carrier from Dallas, Memphis, Atlanta and intra-Florida routes.
Having revitalized the interiors of its 49-strong Saab 340Bplus feet
with new leather seat cushions and carpet, Mesaba is repainting the
30-seaters in Delta livery.
MESABA IN THE USA
Mesaba Aviation is a regional air carrier providing scheduled
passenger service as Mesaba Airlines/Northwest Airlink. Mesabas
continued growth and improved performance is linked to the
airlines service to the Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Memphis
hubs.

Flybe launched its 2008-09 winter schedule with franchise partner
Loganair ofering a low-fare airline option for European travelers.
Glasgow-based Loganair repainted its feet of 16 Saab 340s with the
Flybe livery taking a signifcant step for the Scottish regional airline.
Te franchise is the frst ever deal of its kind for a low-fare carrier and
is in line with Flybes strategy of continuing to build a market-leading
position as Europes largest regional airline following its acquisition of
Manchester, UK based BA Connect in 2008.

In another part of the world, the Argentine Air Force is using
the Saab 340B to serve remote areas in the Patagonia region of
southern Argentina. Te aircraf feature gravel modifcation and
enhanced communications equipment, and meet the latest civilian
requirements for TCAS-II, TAWS, expanded DFDR and reinforced
cockpit doors.
Spanning the globe, the Saab 340 is used by niche operators in the
most challenging environments from extreme cold to remote island

operational uses by the armed services and government contracts.
Sweden and other European countries use a modifed Swedish Air
Force Saab 340 for photographic reconnaissance operations. Te
Swedish Defense Forces also fies the Saab 340B-AEW model for
military transport and related operations.
Japan Coast Guard operates four Saab 340SAR-200s in surveillance
operations from Kansai Airport in Osaka and Kagoshima Airport.
Te Argentine Air Force selected the Saab 340B as its middle-size
transport aircraf to serve remote areas in the Patagonia region
