Relay Ladder Logic

Relay ladder logic is used to control simple ON/OFF systems like pneumatics. It uses relays to perform logic functions based on inputs. A basic "one shot" circuit is described that uses a pushbutton and limit switch to extend and retract a cylinder once. When the pushbutton is pressed, it energizes a control relay which activates a solenoid to extend the cylinder. When the extended cylinder triggers the limit switch, it deactivates the control relay and solenoid to retract the cylinder.
