Lesson Plan

This lesson plan outlines a two-part lesson on heat for 7th grade science students. The lesson will introduce students to concepts of heat energy, heat transfer, specific heat capacity, and phase changes. In the first meeting, students will discuss heat energy and factors affecting heat transfer, and do exercises. The second meeting will involve experiments on melting, freezing, boiling, and condensation points, and making temperature-time graphs of phase changes. Students will complete written and multiple choice assessments to evaluate their understanding.
