Did you find having the Google Doc referrals online easier than the ones used last year?
Yes 42 88% No 6 13%
Did you encounter any problems with the system over the course of the year?
Yes 9 19% No 39 81% If so, what problems did you encounter?
-Difficult to keep records of referrals. -Tracking parent contacts. I need more training. nothing gets done about the situation. -The programs should link together to combine all previous data on one student so the teacher does not have to resend everything. NA -Referrals were updated in Aeries, but sometimes not seen by admin. -It's hard to find the link to get to it if I haven't used it in a while. -Viewing intervention logs finding it, at first, it didn't submit due to top section button confusion. OK now! -I had trouble accessing the system. Once accessed, I found it easy to use.
Do you have any suggestions for the Google Doc referral program for next year?
-Remove the mandatory response for low level referrals. -Some instances of office referrals do not fit with low level selections. -Make that an optional response. -Just knowing how to access it quickly when needed. -I don't think I use the Google doc referral program at all this year. I may have used it once, but don't remember. Anyway.... though a training was conducted early in the year, I don't remember where to find it if I was going to send out a referral. Maybe you can send out friendly reminders that it is available and where to find it. -Maybe have discipline encourage the teachers to use it as well. Have them get rid of the old referrals. In fact, have discipline remove the old referrals from our database and so the teachers are force to use the one on Google docs. Just a thought. :) -It would be helpful to have something sent to us electronically, to let us know that admin has seen or addressed the student. -I would love to have it accessible on our desktop! That would make it so much easier! it would help to not have to scroll through the lower level referrals to find out if the one you are writing is the 1st or 2nd. Does the low level referral system maintain a count of the number of referrals for each particular student, so we don't have to search through the database counting how many a particular student has earned over the course of a semester? -More training! I know... we have had some. However, I need to feel very comfortable using the system to use it regularly. Thanks!!! -Section Ed. Code teacher option to class suspend 48900 section K (disruption/defiance) rapid exit -I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I never used it. I think there are many teachers who are unfamiliar with Google docs and where to find the referral forms. Perhaps a help/instruction form could be placed on the server. If the instructions ARE currently on the server, notify staff where to find the instructions -No, it was very nice to be able to use a tool that was easy to work with. Luckily, I never had to access the system. I am unable to judge its effectiveness. More training is needed on how to keep the data organized. -Well, there is no teacher privacy. so kids who were fine in my class got multiple referrals from their math teacher and it is there for the world to see. I found that viewing the intervention logs was difficult and I'm not sure that it caught all referrals. I would like to see the tracking possibly in a different format.
Next year a positive behavior incentive program will be in place that allows teachers to identify and reward students by issuing a raffle ticket. What form of raffle ticket would you prefer?
Electronic- Google Form 16 33% Traditional- Paper 8 17% Both 24 50%
