For Mazak Machining Centers

Course Description and Objective:
The purpose of this class is to provide part programming information, to experienced milling machinist, using the Mazatrol Basic EIA/ISO G-Code programming language on Mazak machining centers. The class hours are 8:30 AM 4:30 PM daily (2 days) ending at approximately 3:00 PM the 3rd day. The classroom uses Fusion 640M Control Simulators.
Prerequisites:
Machining and tooling experience on machining centers.
Day 1 Introduction and class overview
Safety information
Use of the Fusion 640M Control Simulators in the classroom
Machine coordinate and programming coordinate systems
How to start creating a Mazatrol G-Code program and functions of the Program File screen
Nomenclature of addresses and codes necessary for G-Code part programming.
Absolute and incremental coordinate programming examples using G00, G01, G02, G03, G94, G95 example parts programmed with instructor guidance
Tool Path Graphics explained
Examples now done by students, instructor available for questions
Lunch Break
Program edit features are explained and examples done with instructor guidance
Corner Chamfering and Corner Rounding explained and examples done with instructor guidance Spindle Speed commands, M-Codes explained
Tool Change commands explained
Program Zero set information explained using Work Offsets ect.
