- Some notes about PS2MAME:

The MAME port for PS2, PS2MAME, is old and outdated; It can't run Capcom games
like "Street fighter 2", "Final
fight", "Cadillacs and dinosaurs" or "The king of dragons". Regarding to Neo-Ge
o, only some games from that company
run here, and some of them are displayed with an excess of blue color around. o
f course, don't even think of
playing a 3D game (except some very old one like "I, robot")...
PS2MAME runs old games from the 80's (but not all of them) and some from the 90
's. Besides, this MAME has serious
issues with the framerate; Most of games run slow, but you can disable the soun
d and music at the select screen
to help the game run faster. Even so, some games will still run somewhat slow,
they will be playable though.
Anyhow, if you don't mind spending some time with option testing, you can check
out different frameskip values with
every game (you can set buttons for it at the ingame option menu, just go to "i
nput (general)") until finding a
number that makes the game run fine. by setting a good frameskip value, many sl
ow games come to run fine even with
music on... Warning: some games make the console freeze when you exit the game,
but they are rather few. Another
annoying thing is that only one control pad is supported.
As for the PC versions of MAME, here some games need a bios to work, and clone
roms need a parent rom in order to
work too. In this iso some games don't work from its parent rom, so it is neede
d to use a clone rom to play the
game along the parent rom itself. A Neo-Geo bios is needed to play Neo-Geo game
s too.
At the list below these notes you'll find the names of the available games in t
his iso, and right at their left the
roms you have to run to play those games. Just forget the roms called "(parent
rom)" and "(bios)", they are useful
inside the MAME roms folder just to let some games run; Other than that, all ro
ms in this iso work, since i've been
a few days testing many games out to make a good PS2MAME iso. Enjoy :)

To say OK press LEFT and then RIGHT.

R2: Insert coin.

START: Start playing.
L3: Exit game.
SELECT: Ingame option menu.

On this menu press X to select something. To configure controls for a game go t
o "input (this game)", press START

over the arcade button you want to map, and when you see the arrows press the c
ontrol pad button you want to use

for that arcade button.
