INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
Purpose of the Study The intended purpose of the quantitative research is to be able to gather as much significant information on the students of all the batches of Messiah College to have a more informative and comprehensive knowledge towards one anothers background. Having all the required information constitutes a more accurate and unbiased data that will help in future qualitative research giving an edge as to how individual studies will be presented and delivered.
Significance of the Study The study has proven to be an effective tool in getting to know most of the students in Messiah College. Even though considered to be a small school most students find it hard to knowing other students without certain social events or even studies or surveys conducted. But through this, it has helped in the expansion of every ones knowledge of one another on a more informative level.
Hypothesis Below is a list of calculated guesses or assumptions made on the profiles of the respondents: 1. Most of the students are from 18 years of age and above. 2. Male and Female ratio are about the same. 3. Most Messiah students are in Integrated Communications and Public Relations course. 4. Majority of Messiah students are scholars. 5. Most of Messiah students belong to a family with 4 to 8 members. 6. Half of the students are into music while the other half are in visual arts. 7. Most or majority of the students are fresh graduates. 8. Most of the students belong to a family with both parents together. 9. Most of the students parents occupation are of the business or finance sector. 10. Most of the students are involved in the Worship Ministry. 11. Most of the students live in the NCR. 12. Most of the students reside in Quezon City. 13. Most of the students are Baptists. 14. Majority of the students are skilled in music (singing / playing musical instruments). 15. Majority of the students came from other schools. 16. Majority of the Messiah College community are regular students. 17. Most of the students live in urban or suburban villages. 18. Most of the students speak in either Tagalog or English or both. 19. Most of the students study at Messiah to seek Spiritual Growth. 20. Most of the students find the school facilities very adequate for learning. 21. Majorityof the students find the school service very efficient. Research Methodology As a means to get the information from the respondents, a questionnaire was formulated that ensures to cover all necessary information. Some of the categories included are age, gender, college course, financial status, number of family members, special interests, graduate school, parental supervision, ministry involvement, regional background, place of residence, religious affiliation, skills and talents, mode of enrolment, residential environment, dialects and languages spoken, reasons for choosing Messiah College, perception on learning and perception on growth. The researchers are, Franceska Larureta, Mariann Jemima Garcia, Jeshua Angela Ferrer, Enrico Rafael Cuaresma, Ivan Earl Tria, Macaire Jotham Pranza, and Miel David Antonio Ochoa. The research that was conducted happened between the dates of January 10 to 16, 2014.

Definition of Terms Below is a list of some terms that are elaborated for further clarification: 1. Pre-Messiah background a determinant of whether a student came from another school or is fresh straight out of high school. 2. Type of Student whether a student is following his / her course curriculum or not due to having either back subjects or credited subjects (applicable for college tranfers). 3. Student Status an indicator of whether a student is a full paying student, a full scholar, or partial scholar. 4. Denomination shows the student or their familys church affiliation (et. al. Baptist, Full-Gospel, Methodist, etc.) 5. Residential Environment a place where the student and / or his familys current residential type (villages, condominiums, rural areas, etc.) 6. Perception on Learning an opinion of the students as to how they see Messiah College as a learning institution. 7. Perception on Growth an opinion of the students as to their overall personal growth obtained whilst studying in Messiah College.

This means that the students that study in Messiah are within the age of adolescence which are right around those ages. This shows that students in Messiah are more inclined in studying people, culture and their social capabilities. The student status graph above shows that a big percentage (49%) of the Messiah population are paying students (not part of any scholarship grant). It suggests that majority of the Messiah College community are still dependent on their parents. The number of siblings graph above highlights the number of siblings each Messiah student has and 62% of the total population have 0 2 brothers or sisters. It can only mean that most of the students parents are either self-employed or do have an industry or corporation of their own. This may indicate that either the school or their respective church may be informed as to how the other ministerial aspects may be given more attention to to balance church duties evenly. The regional background table above show that majority of the students belong and reside in the NC Region. A big percentage of the students in Messiah College, about 37%, personally chose to study there. It shows that the students are purposefully driven in their conviction as to where and what course to take. A big percentage shows how it can get more further improvements. Majority of the students about 52% find that their academic and personal growth seemed to be sufficed efficiently. It shows that the students growth in many of lifes aspects are catered here in Messiah College. SUMMARY
1 st Hypothesis accepted: Majority of the students are 18 years of age and higher. 2 nd Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Female gender outnumbers males. 3 rd Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Most Messiah students are enrolled in either the Intercultural Studies or AB Psychology course. 4 th Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Most Messiah students are paying students. 5 th Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Majority of the Messiah students belong to a family of 2 to 3. 6 th Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Majority of the students are musically inclined. 7 th Hypothesis accepted: Majority of the students are fresh graduates. 8 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students belong to a two-parent family. 9 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students parents have office-related work, businesses and other financial related work. 10 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students are involved in the Worship Ministry.
11 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students are from the NCR. 12 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students currently live in Quezon City. 13 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students are Baptists. 14 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students are musically inclined. 15 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students enrolled in Messiah College came straight out of High School. 16 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students are regular (please refer to definition of terms section). 17 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students live in urban or suburban villages. 18 th Hypothesis accepted: Most of the students speak in Tagalog or English. 19 th Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Most of the students study at Messiah because of it was their personal choice. 20 th Hypothesis rejected > New Hypothesis: Most of the students find the school facilities moderately adequate in terms of its quality.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the assessed data given by the respondents at Messiah College have been considerably accurate and credible since most of the information gathered came from the first hand resource. The questions that were given prove also to be of considerable population sample amount and can create a viable database source. The questionnaire that was issued to the respondents has been given credit for its easy-to-answer questions supported by the fact that the time it took for each respondent and them asking for a walkthrough was very minimal. The perception questions were spread evenly to a multitude of answers giving respondents liberty to choose their desired preference thus increasing the questionnaires efficiency and ease of use. Overall, the survey, gathering of data, respondents cooperation, accuracy of information, team effort and all work factors has been successful because of systematized allocation of work and resources.
