What is Globe iFusion?
Globe iFusion is a crew communication service allowing you prepaid access to voice and SMS from your mobile phone and
Email from a computer.

GlobeMobile - Use your personal GSM phone while at sea to make voice calls and send/receive SMS messages.
Your GSM phone must be SIM Unlocked and charges will automatically be deducted from your GlobeMobile account.
Email - Access individual prepaid Email accounts by logging into Globe iFusion from any computer connected to
the Globe iFusion network onboard your ship or via the Internet.

Getting Started & Activating Your GlobeMobile Account
Step 1: Obtain a GlobeMobile SIM Card from your Captain or the designated
officer who is responsible for selling GlobeMobile SIM cards on your vessel.
Step 2: Replace the existing SIM Card in your mobile phone with the GlobeMobile
SIM.
NOTE: To use GlobeMobile (Email, SMS & voice), you must own a mobile
phone and that phone must be SIM Unlocked (i.e. not locked to a
a specific provider).
Step 3: Power on your mobile phone. If it is in range of the GlobeMobile Antenna, your mobile phone will automatically
register on the Globe Wireless Network and one of the following messages will be displayed:
GWIRELESS or 310-720 or 310-72
If one of these messages is not received try moving closer to the GlobeMobile Antenna.
NOTE: The GlobeMobile Antenna is usually placed near the crew quarters or
within a stairwell. The GlobeMobile Antenna location will vary from ship
to ship.
Step 4: Oncee your mobile phone registers on the Globe Wireless Network you will receive an SMS message

containing the following information:

(Also your Password for Globe iFusion)
NOTE: Keep your phone number and password safe. If someone else uses
your phone or password, you will be charged.

Using GlobeMobile
Rates
Your GlobeMobile SIM Card comes with a starting balance of $2.50 USD. The rates for voice, SMS and Email are available
in a public location on your ship. If you are unsure where the Rate List is located, please speak to your captain or
designated officer.
Making a Call
1. Dial + [country code] [area code] [number] Example: +16511234567
2. Depending on destination and time delay, you may hear a dial tone or ringing tone and charges may begin.
3. Once you have finished the call, simply hang-up.
4. You will then receive a free SMS message with the cost of the call and your new balance.
Sending an SMS Message
1. Enter your SMS message.
2. Enter the message recipient’s telephone number + [country code] [area code] [number].
3. Send the message.
NOTE: Due to the difficulties existing with certain countries and telephone providers, not all SMS messages
can be received or sent using GlobeMobile. The Globe Wireless SMS Reach List shows destination countries
that are available to send and receive SMS messages. We understand that not all desired destinations are on
the list. Globe Wireless will update the list periodically and make it available. If you are unsure where the
Reach List is located, please speak to your captain or designated officer. Please note that Inmarsat and Iridium
are also experiencing the same problem.
Requesting Your Balance
At any time you can enter *#132# and receive your current GlobeMobile balance free of charge.
Adding More Credit - “Reloading”
More credit can be added to your GlobeMobile account by using GlobeMobile Reload Strings. Speak to your Captain
or designated officer about the available options. (Unused credit will expire after 12 months.)
Once you receive a GlobeMobile Reload String, enter the following on your phone:
*#131*xxxxxxxxx#
(where xxxxxxxxx is the GlobeMobile Reload String)
You will then receive a confirmation message and your updated balance.
What is My GlobeMobile Phone Number?
You can enter *#100# on your GlobeMobile phone and you will receive a free message providing your GlobeMobile phone
number.

Logging Into Globe iFusion to Use Email
Step 1: Type http://i250

bring up the Login Page. Enter your User ID (your 11-digit GlobeMobile phone number), your Password and
click on the Login

Home - Displays information about the Globe iFusion satellite connections
Email - Your Email address will be <your GlobeMobile Phone Number>@globeifusion.com

[email protected]). The Email Tab allows you to send and receive Email, and
access other features such as the address book
Preferences - Allows you to adjust filters on Email message size to avoid unwanted charges; and to stop
delivery of your Email to the vessel once you leave the ship
NOTES:
1. While on shore, you can access your Globe iFusion Email account for free by
visiting http://i250.globeifusion.com, simply login as you would on board a ship.
2. To hold all of your Email on shore and avoid Email delivery charges, click the Stop
All Inbound Email button in the Email Delivery section of the Preference Tab.
3. For detailed information and instructions on features of Globe iFusion, click on the
Globe iFusion User Manual (PDF) link on the Globe iFusion Login Page. Your
computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.
4. Your GlobeMobile account balance may be debited when sending Email. Please
speak to your captain or designated officer for additional information.

Globe iFusion Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What type of mobile phone can be used with GlobeMobile?
Your mobile phone must be able to operate on the 1800MHz frequency that GlobeMobile uses. Note: your mobile phone
must be SIM Unlocked (i.e. not locked to a specific provider) in order to be compatible with GlobeMobile.
Can I use my GlobeMobile SIM and account balance on other GlobeMobile vessels?
GlobeMobile SIMs and GlobeMobile account balances may be used on all GlobeMobile vessels. After you board another
GlobeMobile equipped vessel and turn on your mobile phone, within a few minutes, the system will register your
GlobeMobile SIM and you will be able to make calls and send/receive SMS messages. Rates may differ from vessel to
vessel depending upon the satellite solution and plans on board.
Can I use my GlobeMobile SIM once I am off the ship?
GlobeMobile SIM cards can only be used while in range of a GlobeMobile antenna.
Can I use another provider’s SIM rather than a GlobeMobile SIM?
A GlobeMobile SIM card must be inserted in your mobile phone to use GlobeMobile services,.
Can I call other users onboard the vessel via GlobeMobile and how much will it cost?
You can call any GlobeMobile user onboard the same vessel, free of charge.
Can I select a non-U.S. number?
At this time Globe Wireless can only offer U.S. phone numbers.
Sometimes the telephone numbers I dial do not ring; why?
Some telephone networks do not provide notification of ringing; the call will connect as normal.
How does GlobeMobile billing work?
Billing starts upon connection to the calling destination and a minimum of 30 seconds will be charged to your account. After
the first 30 seconds you are billed in 15 second intervals. Unfortunately, for some networks, billing may start before the call
is connected.
How much will it cost for someone to send an SMS message to me?
Anyone sending an SMS message to your GlobeMobile phone will pay their telephone provider’s standard rates for SMS
messaging to U.S. mobile numbers.

Will I be able to access previously read Email on a different ship?
Email that has already been read will remain on the ship where it was initially read. However, you will be able to send and
receive new email from a different ship.
Will I be able to access my Email from a computer on shore?
Yes, you can access your email from any computer connected to the internet. Globe iFusion Email is free to send and
receive by visiting http://i250.globeifusion.com.
Why should I stop all inbound Email from being delivered to the ship once I have left the vessel?
When someone sends an email to your Globe iFusion Email address (Example: [email protected]), your
GlobeMobile account is automatically charged when the message is sent to the ship. Clicking the Stop All Inbound Email
button in the Email Delivery section of the Preferences Tab will hold all your email on shore allowing you to avoid all Email
delivery charges.
Will I be able to send and receive Email attachments like pictures, etc?
Yes, you will be able to send and receive email attachments. Please note that data rates will apply.
What happens if I forget my Email password?
On the Globe iFusion Logon screen click on the Forgot Password link, enter your GlobeMobile phone number and click the
Submit button. A free message containing your password will be sent to your GlobeMobile phone. Your GlobeMobile phone
must be turned on to receive the free message.
Can I browse the web?
Internet access is determined by your management company.
