18. Discuss the steps of research process with the help of a suitable example.
19. What is a t-test ? When it is used and for what purposes ? Explain by means of
examples.
20. A sample survey indicates that out of 3232 births, 1705 were boys and the rest were
girls. Do these figures confirm the hypothesis that the sex ratio is 50 : 50 ? Test at
5 per cent level of significance.
21. The table given below shows the data obtained during outbreak of small-pox.
