Executive Director
-Conceptualized and wrote business plan and all training manuals. Registered nonprofit in
Ghana. Hired, trained, and supervised Country Directors.
-Created internship program with two universities. Supervised over 40 interns and volunteers.
-Worked closely with Ministry of Education, village chiefs, and members of rural communities
to select schools for pilot program. Launched pilot program.
-Developed and oversaw all in-country programs including: benchmarking, community
mobilization, finances, budgeting, and social impact studies.
-Developed all marketing and fundraising materials including: brochure, website, and
promotional videos. Oversaw development and premiere of documentary and docudrama.

-Global Management Center - Created and conducted surveys of over 60 employees in


Bangkok. Compiled results and provided recommendations in organizational structure and
fundraising to HDF Founder and Executive Director.

June 2004 – Dec. 2005 Missionary South Africa


and Botswana

-Full-time volunteer in South Africa and Botswana – Visited and worked with low-income
families daily, assisted with measles campaign and Alexandra AIDS projects.

Other Volunteer Work

-Co-founder and Development Director, Sowers of Hope – Wrote business plan and
mobilized team to start an elementary school in Bukavu, a war-torn region of Congo. Operated
as liaison with partner organizations that provide funding, uniforms, and materials. School now
has 300 plus students and six teachers.

-Community Outreach Coordinator, Micro-Business Mentors – Recruited microcredit clients


and volunteer mentors and assisted with business plan development for low-income families in
Utah County. Coordinated graduation events.

-Consultant and Volunteer, Utah County Crisis Line – Volunteered for suicide prevention
hotline. Developed, administered, and analyzed results of focus group and electronic survey of
all Crisis Line volunteers. Provided recruitment and retention suggestions, including website
revision and branding, and presented to CEO of United Way.

-Consultant, Ascend Alliance – Developed organizational structure and researched diseases


related to groundwater contamination for water pump project in Mozambique.

-Event Director, Students for Africa - Coordinated speakers and publicity for World AIDS
Day symposium held at BYU.

Extra-Curricular
-Folk Dancer – Danced on BYU International Folk Dance team for two and a half years.
-Ballroom Dancer - Achieved silver medals in Latin, Standard, and Social categories from
NDCA. Placed sixth in pre-novice Paso Doble at National Amateur DanceSport Championships.
-Sports – Participated on university intramural Ultimate Frisbee and Inner Tube Water Polo
teams. Ran one full marathon and three half-marathons.
-Music – Participated in University Strings, Flute Choir, and German Choir. Play flute,
percussion, and guitar.
