The Meadowbrook School and Huntingdon Valley Chess Society Juniors will host the Seventh Philadelphia Metropolitan Grade/HS Chess Championship on November 2, 2013 at The Meadowbrook School. There will be 5 rounds of Swiss-system chess played in sections divided by grade, with individual and school/club trophies awarded. A special award of a residential summer program valued at $1000 will be given to the top sophomore or junior who applies and is accepted. Players must pre-register by October 31st and pay $20 to guarantee their spot in the first round.
