Classification of EOT Cranes
As per Indian standard specification 807 and 3177 cranes have been basically divided into four
classes:
Class - I Light Duty : These are normal maintenance cranes which are not in constant use. Cranes
for periodical maintenance of plant and machinery come under this category. These type of cranes
have rated life not less than 20 years of 250 days per year and hour working time per day. Their
speeds are slow and the structures are light.
Class - II Medium Duty: This class perhaps covers the largest number of cranes used in the
industry. In workshops, foundries, processing plants, important ware-houses and in fact every area,
where a fair degree of activity exists. These type of cranes have rated life not less than 20 years of
300 days per year and 1 hour working time per day.
Class - III Heavy Duty : For workshops and production shops, where the cranes, in addition to
normal handling work, also become a part of production process. These type of cranes have rated
life not less than 20 years of 333 days per year and 3 hours working time per day.
Class - IV Extra Heavy Duty : This class includes very special cranes whose highest importance is
in steel industry, important storage houses and in some other selected industries. These are for
continuous duty operation. These type of cranes have rated life not less than 20 years of 333 days
per year and 6 hour working time per day.

Hydraulic Stackers
Rigid mast stackers are lightweight machines, ideal for tool handling, pallet handling, general stores
work and vehicle loading/ unloading etc. They are generally short in height and being light in weight
can be easily maneuvered through tight spaces, and low door frames.
Telescopic mast stackers are ideal for handling pallets and heavy duty components where higher
lifts are required but the closed height should be such that the equipment passes easily under door
frames, beams and arches etc. Here the inner mast telescopes into the outer mast thereby
considerably reducing the closed height of the equipment.
Salient Features of Hyd Stackers:
Compact design, strong and robust steel construction.

Heavy-duty adjustable twin chains for better load stability.

Top quality hydraulic pump and cylinder.
Heavy duty 1 piece double lipped "C" section forks for greater
strength.
Top of stroke bypass value built in.
3 way hand control with neutral allows the operator to
manoeuver the load safety and effortlessly.
Advanced hand brake system instead of foot brake system. It
is a proven fact that there is less likelihood of injury when the

operator always has both feet firmly on the ground.

Hydraulic regulator for automatic lowering speed control.
All stackers are fitted with large dia 8'' steering wheels.
Tandem load rollers on all heavy duty stackers.
The hydraulic system incorporates an automatic two-speed
pump, which automatically selects quick lift for no load and
light loads upto 100 kgs. and regular lift for loads above 100
kgs.
