We know the PCI config stall has been a problem for many with Nvidia cards.

Here is how I fixed my machine (HP Pavilion v!"##t$ Nvidia %e&orce '(##) %*+. ,. o a clean install of *now -eopard .sing /etail 0 . 6n the tab option ?installations@ find yo1r two kexts above and click ?*ystem : -ibrary : 7xensions@$ then exec1te. 6n the tab option ?maintenance@$ click ?*ystem : -ibrary : 7xtensions@ and r1n that. ". Install C. 3 drivers if yo1 need them (for Nvidia cards only+. '. /estart yo1r comp1ter. A. Now yo1 can install any %P. drivers yo1 may have. =Insert the .*2 drive with 6*D and then boot with i2oot 5.,., (not the other way aro1nd+. Click on *ystem:-ibrary:7xtensions and press 7xec1te. =/eboot with i2oot again b1t do N68 1se the PCI/oot.I flag. L1st select the mac drive and press enter. 9o1 have now installed the ,#.!.' 1pdate. =Note that the bios sometimes changes the boot order for no reason. If yo1 canBt boot from the C $ enter the bios and p1t the 0 drive on top again.
