What is Application Software?
Computer Software which is designed to assist users to easily perform specific tasks and day to day job are known as Application Software. Such software does not only provide accuracy in performance of the task but rather aid in completion of required task with minimum time. Certain Application software also provides multitasking support as well to the users. Application Software is different in comparison to System Software and middle ware, Basically System software manage and help computer to process different instruction rather than benefiting the user directly in performance of user defined tasks. The system software serves the application, which in turn serves the user.1

Different types of Application Software and their uses in real life
Below are different types of Application Software which we use in our daily life depending on the nature of Task:

1. Word Processing Software


This software allows users to work on documents such as editing, typing, printing and formatting. Examples are MS Word, Notepad and WordPad.

2. Database Software
This Software enables user to create manage their database as per their requirement. Management of database is done through storing and retrieval of data. Examples are MS Access and Oracle. 3.

Spreadsheet Software
This software enables user to perform calculation and to build spreadsheet as per the requirement of the task. Examples are MS Excel, Lotus and Apple number.

Multimedia Software
This Software enables users to work, edit and play multimedia items like movies, music and audio items. Examples are Real Player and Windows Media Player.

Presentation Software
This software allows user to develop and present information to the audience in the form of slideshow. Examples are MS PowerPoint.

Application Software that can be helpful for Mr. Aleem
Based on tasks assigned to secretary of Ole Organization Mr. Aleem, below is the list of Application software which I suggest Mr. Aleem should used in order to performance his job with increased efficacy and by maximum utilization of time consumption. MS Word Will help Mr. Aleem to easily prepare and manage reports and documents. MS Outlook This software will help Mr. Aleem to easily manage correspondence of different parties, Organize and coordinates meeting, conferences with all required member in most efficient manner. MS Outlook can also be utilize to type and distribute minutes of meeting among all participants of meeting in just one go. MS Outlook will also benefit in maintaining schedules, Calendars, arrange and confirm appointments. Further it will help Mr. Aleem to organize internal and external events, handle incoming mail and other material and finally aid to liaison with internal and external contacts and to communicate in writing to answer inquiries and provide information Asterisk This software will help Mr. Aleem to automatically pass information and answer queries to many clients or requesters through VoIP and Interactive voice response. This will help automatically transfer calls to desired extension as indicated by the caller. Computer Aided facility Management This software will help Mr. Aleem to manage Office space more efficiently. Through this software Office layouts can be virtually designed, adjusted and restructured as a demo prior to any modification. Through this software it will help Mr. Aleem to decide various layouts and to choose the best arrangement. HP Server Automation software This Software will help Mr. Aleem to coordinate and control flow of information both internally and externally, further he can restrict undesired information to in / outflow from Office through this software. Through this Software Mr. Aleem can operate and make use of different Office equipments such as printers, plotter and Scanners as per requirement.

MS Access This Software will help Mr. Aleem to develop and maintain Database. This will also help Mr. Aleem to setup and Maintain filling system. MS PowerPoint This Software will help Mr. Aleem to design and present work procedures to the office staff.

At what managerial level does Mobile Application Software will be highly used?
Mobile application are developed for small low-consumption handheld devices such as Personal digital assistants (PDA) Enterprise digital assistants or mobile phones / Blackberry.

These applications are either pre-installed on phones at the time of manufacturing or are downloaded by customers later on from various mobile software distribution platforms. In the lights of above definition Top level management will be required to used mobile application, such management personnel who leads, supervise and are responsible to take significant decision for the department.

At Top Level of Management Mobile Application Software used to controls & coordinates To control activities of all the departments. They are also responsible for maintaining a contact with the outside world. The top management is also responsible towards the shareholders for the performance of the enterprise communicating through Mobile applications. After working hour require immediate updates , which lap top and personal computer are not portable everywhere to carry, mobile and their application software easy & quick access to get updates at top level In addition, top-level managers play a significant role in the mobilization of outside resources and are for the most part responsible for the shareholders and general public and make communication smoothly and efficiently Mobile application used to.
