M1 is for applying the correct formula for the sum of an arithmetic series or quoting the formula. M1 is also awarded for finding the first term a and common difference d. The first A1 is for the sum to n = 4 terms. The final A1 is for evaluating the infinite sum using the formula for the sum of an infinite GP. Deductions may be made for extraneous or incorrect answers.
