In the early 1800s prisoners of Londons Newgate Prison, who had their hands cut o for theft, came up with a sport that only used their feet. The World cup had to be replaced after heavy rains, during the 1950 World Cup, the World cup had to be replaced. The original World Cup was made of papier-mch. Another interesting fact is during the 1950 World Cup India withdrew from the World Cup because they werent allowed to play barefoot.

The first American professional soccer league, the USSA, played from 1919 to 1921 and paid its players 35-cents for every goal scored. Soccer was originally called basketball because the first goals, were overturned wicker baskets. In Mississippi is was illegal to play Soccer until 1991. Almost 18 million play soccer in The United States. 78% of them are under the age of 18. That makes the U.S the largest population of ocial soccer players in the world.
What You Didnt Know about Soccer Balls
What you may have not known is that soccer balls are slightly oval-shaped. The checkered board pattern creates an illusion of a perfect sphere. And there are 32 panels on a traditional soccer ball, one for each country in Europe. Did you also known that soccer is the most popular sport in the world. A little known fact is that the very first game of basketball was played with a soccer ball.

A professional soccer player runs an average of 3.9 miles, in an average soccer game. Did you known that the national sport of Canada is soccer. Dont make the country of Madagascar mad in 2002 Madagascan team Stade Olympique LEmryne scored 149 own goals against champions AS Adema. They repeatedly scored on their own goals in protest of a refereeing decision in their previous game. Only the United States and Canada actually call soccer soccer.

Word Wrangler CSS
Process:
This page was designed using a Mac and the program Word Wrangler. I have never done anything like this before. Using the HTML language to code and create a web page was a challenge. I used a logo that I had designed earlier to insert at the top of the page the border was created to match the existing logo color in Photoshop. The background image of the baseballs was copied and pasted in using the CSS to create a computer web page from scratch.

Process:
I used Photoshop to create this image. These two images were found on the Internet and placed in the program. I used the mask feature and brush tool to create a half transparent image. This allowed the bottom image of the white cat to show through. The background image was originally brown and I used an adjustment layer to turn the background image to green.

Process:
I first started out with four different pencil sketches. I used a white font to grab attention and create contrast from the image behind it. I used a large font size for the date and time to create a focal point. The body copy is in a black smaller font that allows more white space on the flyer. The images were given to me for the logo, content and image.
