My treatment:
Blurb: A women finds out that her boyfriend is having an affair with another women. Character Biographies Mike: Mike is a 16 year old boy with a distinctive attitude, and seems like a lovable person, but secretly he is a cheat and has an affair with another women. Ashley: Is a 16 year old female who is a good lover and seems like a honest person to be in a relationship with. Amy: Is a 16 year old girl who seems like a nice person, but is the character who has an affair with Mike. The drama is about a cheating person in a relationship and goes off with another women. He is having a secret affair with another person, and the partner he is originally going out with finds out about the affair, and in the end, she viciously murders her cheating boyfriend by choking him to death. It is set to be a quite brutal drama, considering the fact that there is death within it. After the boyfriends death, the secret affair girlfriend finds his body lying on the floor in the woods, and seeks revenge by meeting up with a mass murder to for fill the killings. It is a short drama with quite an easy follow on story to it.
Narrative Structures
What is narrative? A narrative is a connected set of events that is happening in a story. Its broadest sense is anything told, more narrowly and more usually something told or recounted in the form of linked set of events.
What is a linear narrative? A linear narrative refers to a story line that is shown in chronological order, it starts at the beginning to the middle, and ends at the end. This type of narrative runs smoothly in a straight line that is not broken up.
What is a non-linear narrative? A non-linear narrative is a story that does not move in a straight and ordered line. This type of narrative tells the same story over and over again from the point of view from of different characters, each additional character adding layers of texture and interest to the story. It can involve heavy use of flashbacks/flash forwards, so at the beginning of a film for example, the end of the story would of already happened and within the film, it will build up to how the end of a disaster for example happened by the storyline length of the film.
What narrative structure does your final video have? My final video consists of a linear narrative story.
