Serial Number
The Serial numbers screen displays installed Nero products. Here, you can enter new serial numbers or delete old ones. A serial number is a unique number that identifies your copy of the installed Nero product. It determines whether your product is an Essentials, trial, or retail version. Plug-ins also have a separate serial number. For trial and retail versions, the respective serial number is displayed. Essentials versions which are delivered with the hardware may have an integrated serial number and thus do not display the serial number. For any trial versions installed, the expiration date is indicated. For trial and Essentials versions it is possible to purchase a serial number for the full version via the Upgrade button.
