Dear Ms. Gomez, Congratulations! It is my pleasure to inform you of your admission to Texas A&M University. Your admission is to the level, term, college and major listed below. Your residency status for the payment of tuition is also listed: Level: Freshman Term: Fall 2014 Residency for Tuition: College: Science Major: Biology In-State Resident
Please review the information listed above for accuracy, and contact us immediately if there are any discrepancies. You will need to complete all steps in order to secure your admission. If you do not formally accept the offer of admission and register for a New Student Conference (NSC) by the deadline noted below, Texas A&M will assume that you have declined our offer of admission. The enclosure, Now That You're Admitted, has additional instructions regarding enrollment, as well as valuable information to prepare you for life in Aggieland.
Accept your offer of admission and register for a New Student Conference by May 01, 2014. You may accept this offer immediately via the Applicant Information System (AIS), applicant.tamu.edu. Beginning February 1, you will be able to register for your NSC online through AIS. All incoming students must register for and attend an NSC. Send your final high school transcript to prevent a block on your registration for future terms. Provide evidence of vaccination against bacterial meningitis prior to attending a New Student Conference.
Options for changing your major are limited. You are required to follow the curriculum for the major to which you are admitted. Once enrolled, change of curriculum requests must be in accordance with TAMU Student Rule 5.1-5.5 and are never guaranteed. TEC 51.9192 requires all students under age 22 entering an institution of higher education to provide current proof of vaccination against bacterial meningitis (an immunization given within 5 years of the date of intended enrollment) or meet certain requirements for declining such a vaccination. Students may not register for classes until this requirement is satisfied. To learn more, please visit admissions.tamu.edu/meningitis.aspx. Living on campus can be an integral part of your experience at Texas A&M, and we encourage you to consider our on-campus residence halls. You may apply for on-campus housing at reslife.tamu.edu. Note: availability may be limited. If you have any questions, please contact an admissions advisor at one of our Prospective Student Centers, admissions.tamu.edu/psc. On behalf of the faculty and administration, I am delighted to welcome you to Texas A&M University. Sincerely,
Scott McDonald Assistant Vice President for Academic Services and Director of Admissions Enclosure: Now That You're Admitted
