: 1. Bring the water in the water bath up to the boiling point and turn
down the source of heat.
2. Add 2 ml of Benedicts reagent to approximately 2 ml of glucose in
Test tube A and mix the reagent thoroughly.
3. Add 2 ml of Benedicts reagent to 2ml of maltose in test tube B.
4. Place both test tubes in the water bath and leave for five minutes.
