GAME NOTES The Wildcats fell, 2-1, to Providence last Saturday. Junior back Maddy Harding scored in the game and now leads Villanova in goals. The Cardinals last defeated Northwestern, 2-0, last Sunday. Goalkeeper Sydney King was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. Sophomore forward Kayla Kenney scored against Louisville last season. The Cardinals are 2-4 away this season. The Wildcats are 2-7-0 all-time against Louisville. Villanova is tied fourth nationally in defensive saves (9).

Offensive Player of the Week Rosario Villagra, Old Dominion, F, Jr. In a 2-0 week that included a 3-2 win at No. 1 Maryland, Villagra tallied four goals and an assist. She helped take down the top-rated Terps with a pair of goals, including the game-winner. She also scored two goals and added an assist in a 4-0 victory against William & Mary. For the season, Villagra leads the Monarchs with 13 goals and 10 assists. Defensive Player of the Week Sydney King, Louisville, GK, So. King helped the Cardinals to a 2-0 week, which included a 2-0 win against No. 11 Northwestern. She made a career-high 10 stops in the win over the Wildcats. King posted seven saves in a 2-1 double-overtime win against Rutgers, including two critical stops in overtime. She has a 1.52 goals against average for the season.

BIG EAST Players of the Week

Marie Elena Bolles, Connecticut, F, Sr. Posted three goals in a 5-0 win against Georgetown and had two assists in a 4-3 loss to American. Erin Schneidtmiller, Louisville, F, Sr. Scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 double-overtime triumph versus Rutgers and added an assist in a 2-0 win against No. 11 Northwestern. Adrienne Houle, Providence, M, Fr. Scored twice in a 6-0 win over Vermont and had a goal in a 2-1 victory against Villanova. Nicole Kroener, Temple, M, Jr. Scored the lone goal of the game in a 1-0 win at No. 20 Drexel and had an assist in a 4-0 victory against Appalachian State. Lizzie Millen, Temple, GK, Jr. Millen recorded her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season with a 4-0 win against Appalachian State and a 1-0 victory against No. 20 Drexel.

12Keira Zambon

Midfield Medford, N.J.

2013-14 Seniors

Keira has been a crucial member of the Wildcats, playing in nearly every game since arriving at Villanova four years ago. Keira embodies a true midfielder, tallying both points and defensive saves. The Medford, N.J., native was named a captain at the beginning of the season, showing her leadership abilities and commitment toward the success of the Wildcats. Keira is a student in the Villanova School of Business, double majoring in Accounting and Management Information Systems with a 3.35 grade-point average and has been named to the NFHCA Academic Squad twice.

Jenna Allen

Forward Yardley, Pa.

Jenna has been a reliable teammate for Villanova, playing literally every position when needed of her. After beginning her Nova career at midfield and transitioning to forward, Jenna stepped up and played goalkeeper for a game this season when the Wildcats needed her. Jenna is a student in the College of Liberal Arts majoring in Communication.

23Celise Feller

Forward Lower Gwynedd, Pa.

Celise has appeared in 35 games in her Villanova career. She tallied her first career point in 2011 with an assist against Radford and earned her first start this season. Celise holds a 3.68 GPA as a Communication major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and has been named to the NFHCA Academic Squad the past three seasons.

16 Christine Lafferty
Forward Medford, N.J.

2013-14 Seniors

Christine has logged time in 32 games over her Villanova career at both midfield and forward. She has appeared in nine games so far this season and scored her first career point with an assist against Connecticut. Christines dedication can be seen off the field as she volunteers with the Sophomore Service Learning Community and Level. Christine has been named to the NFHCA Academic Squad for her first three seasons and holds a 3.74 GPA as an Accounting and Finance double major in the Villanova School of Business.

24 Alex Diekmann

Goalkeeper Holmdel, N.J.

Alex has been the backbone of the Wildcats for the past two seasons, starting 29 of 31 games in that time. The Holmdel, N.J., native has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll five times in her career, and earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team last season. Alex was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the 2010 season. Alex is enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, double majoring in English and Italian with a minor in Business.

36 Julia Todd

Goalkeeper Hingham, Mass.

Julia Todd joined the team earlier this month from womens lacrosse. The Hingham, Mass., native stepped in for field hockey, showing her commitment to Nova Nation. In her one start against Rutgers, Julia led the Wildcats through triple overtime and played through 18 penalty corners, a penalty stroke and a stroke off. Julia holds a 3.35 GPA as a student in the Villanova School of Business, majoring in Marketing with minors in Business Analytics and Finance.
