Anna Prashan Sanskar According to the Sanatan dharma the Anna prashan rite should be performed when a babys

teeth start growing and she eats soli d food apart from milk for the first time. In this ceremony the baby is fed solid food, usualy its Kheer. Its light and easy to digest for the baby. This Kheer is prepared with honey, ghee, tulasi (balsam leaves), and Gangajal. Kheer made by these elements is nutritious, pure and promotes spiritual qualities. According to the scriptures our nature temperament, and personality depends a great deal on the food we eat. Thats why only pure and nutritious food is used for Anna Prashana ceremony. To make sure that this ceremony is performed at an auspicious time, Muhurtha or electional astrology is used. Time of the ceremony:According to vedic astrology the Anna prashan ceremony should be performed at different times for boy and girls. For boys the ceremony should be performed in the sixth, eighth or the tenth month. For girls it should be performed in the fifth, seventh, ninth or the eleventh month from birth. Auspicious Nakshatra:The Nakshatras considered auspicious for Anna Prashan are: Rohini, Uttara Phalguni, Uttara Ashada, Uttara Bhadrapada, Swati, Punarvasu, Shravan, Dhanishtha, Shatabhisha, Mrigshira, Revati, Chitra, Anuradha, Hasta, Ashwani, Pushya, Shatabhisha. Tithi:Vedic astrology says that the Rikta tithis (fourth, ninth, fourteenth), or Nanda tithis (Pratipada, Sixth, eleventh), or eighth, twelfth, Amavas, are not considered auspicious for Anna Prashan. You can perform this ceremony on second, third, fifth, seventh, tenth, thirteenth, or Poornima for auspicious results. Day:Mondya, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are considered most auspicious for Anna Prashan. Ascendant:The auspicious ascendants for Anna Prashan are: Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Capricorn and Aquarius. If a benefic planet is located in the first, third, fifth, seventh or ninth house, it will increase the auspiciousness. A malefic planet located in the third, sixth or the eleventh house is also considered beneficial. Avoid these factors:Avoid performing the Anna Prashan ceremony if the ascendant is Aries, Scorpio or Pisces. Also avoid the eigth ascendant from the birth ascendant of the baby. Moon should not be placed in the first, sixth or the eighth house, and the tenth house should be vacant. Moon and Tara shuddhi are also vital for this ceremony and if they are not present, it should not be performed. Special Note:A sub-ceremony called Bhoomi Upeveshan may also be performed. This ceremony should be performed when the child is allowed to touch the earth for the first time. This ceremony should be performed in the fifth month from birth. Nakshatra For Bhumi Upeveshan:Bhumi Upveshana should be performed in Uttara Phalguni, Uttara Ashada, Uttara Bhadrapad, Rohini, Hast, Ashwini, Pushya, Abhijit, Mrigshira, Anuradha or Jyestha Nakshatras. Tithi:All the tithis except Rikta (fourth, ninth, fourteenth) are considered auspicious for this ceremony. In this ceremony a thread is tied around the waist of the baby, thus its also called the Kati -sootra ceremony.

Samvartak Yoga and Dagdha Yoga are Inauspicious for Auspicious Events There are many inauspicious yogas which are formed from the Tithi and day. Here we will discuss two such yogas which are made from the combination of the Tithi and day, named Samvartak yoga and Dagdha Yoga. They are inauspicious for all auspicious events. According to Vedic astrology, when Pratipada (first Tithi) is present on Wednesday then Samvartak Yoga foms and when the seventh Tithi falls on Sunday then Samvartak Yoga forms. Samwartak yoga is an inauspicious yoga. Therefore auspicious events should not be performed in Samwartak yoga. The next inauspicious Yoga is the Dagdha Yoga. Dagdha yoga is the result of the combination of day and date. Dagdha Yoga would be generated on any day if Tithi and day combine with each other. Let us consider those combinations of Tithi and day which form Dagdha Yoga.

1. When the twelfth Tithi falls on Sunday then this Dagdha Yoga forms. 2. If Monday is the day and the Tithi is the eleventh Tithi then this inauspicious Yoga forms. 3. If Tuesday is the day and the Tithi is the fifth Tithi then you may face problems in auspicious works due to Dagdha Yoga. 4. If the third Tithi falls on Wednesday then inauspicious Dagdha yoga forms. 5. If the Tithi is the sixth Tithi and the day is Thursday then this combination will give Dagdha Yoga. 6. If Friday falls on the eighth Tithi then Dagdha Yoga forms. 7. If Saturday is the day and the Tithi is the ninth Tithi then you should not perform any auspicious event in this combination.

Dagdha Yoga is inauspicious for traveling.

Ekargal, Upgraha and Yuti Dosha Many doshas appear at the time of finding Muhurutha for marriage. The date of marriage should be determined after the assessment of these doshas. If you ignore these Doshas then you may face problems in marriage and after marriage. Let us consider Ekargal, Upgraha and Yuti Dosha which create problems in the Muhurtha of marriage. Ekargal Dosha Ekargal Dosha is also known as Kharjur Dosha. At the time of finding Muhurtha, count from that Nakshatra in which sun is placed, covering all the 28 Nakshatras including Abijit Nakshatra, to that Nakshatra in which moon is placed. If in this counting, the distance of Visham planets is 1, 3, 5 and 7 then this Dosha may appear. If the distance between Nakshatras of Sun and Moon will be visham and any of Vyatipat, Shoola, Vishkumbh, Vyaghat, gand, Vaidhrat, Vajra, Paridhi and Atigand Nakshatra is there then this Dosha will be very influential. According to astrology, if Moon is in the samsangyak Nakshatra then this Dosha will not influence you. Upgraha Dosha This Dosha is formed when the Nakshatra of Sun forms a relationship with the Nakshatra of marriage. When the Nakshatra of Sun is placed on the 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th or 25th number from the Nakshatra of marriage. Suppose, on the day of marriage, Moon is placed in the Mrigshira Nakshatra and sun is placed in the Ashwini Nakshatra, then Mrigshira Nakshatra is placed on the fifth place from the Sun Nakshatra. In this position of Nakshatra, Upgrah Dosha will appear, which is why on that day marriage should not be performed otherwise bride and groom may suffer from this Dosha. Yuti Dosha Planets, Nakshatras and days are important while considering Muhurutha for marriage. Yuti Dosha is one of the bad Doshas for the Muhurtha of marriage. On the day of marriage, if the Nakshatra in which Moon is placed forms a conjunction with any maleficent planet such as Mars, Rahu, Ketu or Saturn then Yuti Dosha will be applied. Some astrologers believe that whether malefic planets form conjunction or auspicious planets form conjunction, this Dosha will not give good results. Sometimes, however, results of Dosha may reduce. Suppose Moon is placed in its own sign or exalted sign, then this Dosha will be canceled. If moon aspects Jupiter, or Moon and Jupiter are placed in the kendra. If Moon and malefic planet are placed in the same Nakshatra but signs are different, then Yuti Dosha will not influence Muhurutha of marriage.

Jamitra Dosha and Van Panchak Dosha If any planet is placed in the seventh house from the marriage Ascendant or Moon, then Jamitra Dosha appears. A person will get the results of this dosha according to the planet placed in the seventh house in the Ascendant of Muhurtha. If Sun is placed in the seventh house, then his married life may not be pleasurable. If Mars is placed in the seventh house, then his spouse may face conflicts in life. If Mercury is placed in the seventh house, then he may not get happiness from his child. If Jupiter is placed in the seventh house, then he may not have much interest in his married life. If Venus is placed in the seventh house, then he may face and health related problems. He may get disappointments in his life due to the placement of Saturn in the seventh house. If Rahu and Ketu are placed in the seventh house, then he may get disturbed due to mental stress. If a malefic planet is placed in the fourteenth Nakshatra from the Nakshatra of marriage, then Jamitra Dosha forms and if an auspicious planet is placed, then benefic Jamitra forms. Muhurutha will become inauspicious if malefic Jamitra forms. Dosha will not applicable in this situation

1. In the strong position of Moon 2. If auspicious planets aspect that planet which forms Jamitra Dosha 3. If strong Moon and Jupiter are placed in the seventh house from the marriage ascendant 4. If Mercury is placed in the seventh house from Moon

Vanpanchak Dosha (Ban Panchak Dosha) After Jamitra Dosha, the next inauspicious Dosha for the Muhurutha of marriage is Van Panchak Dosha. Vanpanchak is of five types: Rogvan, Agnivan, Rajvan, Chorvan and Mrityuvan. If Mrityuvan appears, then marriage should be cancelled. Let us consider how Mrityuvan forms. When Sun is placed on the 1, 10, 19 or 28 degrees in any sign, then Mrityuvan Dosha is formed. When Sun changes sign, then degrees should be assessed immediately to find out Vanpanchak. The

degrees which come are placed in five places and added into 6, 3, 1, 8 and 4. Result is divided by 9 and if the resulting number is 5 then VanDosha will appear otherwise not, because Van Dosha forms only on number 5.

The Yoga of Mars and Moon in the Birth-chart Moon is a mild and auspicious planet whereas Mars is an aggressive and malefic planet in Vedic astrology. Let us see what results they give when these planets form a Yoga. The Nature of Moon Moon is the lord of Cancer. It is exalted in Taurus and debilitated in Scorpio. Moon has a quick influence on the person due to its closeness to Earth. In Vedic astrology Moon is known as a virtuous planet and it is considered a female. It controls the state of mind of the native. The further away it is from Sun the stronger and more auspicious it will be, but if Moon is near to the Sun then it wont be so auspicious. The Nature of Mars Mars is the lord of sign Aries and Scorpio. It is a male planet and it has a cruel nature. It is exalted in Capricorn and debilitated in Cancer. Aries is the Mooltrikon sign for Mars. It is the symbol of power, courage and capability. If Mars is exalted then the native use his courage and capabilities in positive acts whereas if Mars is debilitated it makes him inert and motivated towards negative acts. Inauspicious Results of the Yoga of Moon and Mars Moon and Mars have different qualities and nature but Moon has an affection for Mars. Moon controls the soul of the person and if it has an inauspicious Yoga with Mars then he will have an angry and cruel nature due to the extreme nature of Mars. He may have instability and an unsteady state of mind due to the malefic influence of this Yoga. Auspicious Results of the Yoga of Moon and Mars An auspicious Yoga of Moon and Mars makes him capable and powerful whereas Moon makes him intelligent and gives stability to his mind. Due to these qualities of Moon and Mars, he will earn respect and honor in the society. His financial status will also be good due to this auspicious Yoga. Conjunction of Moon and Mars and Marriage Generally, Venus is known as the planet of passion but Mars also plays a similar role in the womans birth -chart. According to Vedic astrology if any woman has Mars and the aspect of malefic planets on Moon in her birth-chart then she may have hurdles in her marriage. A woman who has this kind of position in her birth-chart, may have a late marriage and may not enjoy a happy relationship with her husband after marriage. In extreme cases this may even need to be resolved in court

Role of Planetary Combinations in Love Marriage According to Vedic Astrology, positive combination of planets help you marry the person you love. When two people love each other they have the desire to live together and marry each other. But everybody is not lucky to marry the one they love. Some may succeed and some may not succeed in marrying their beloved. Vedic astrology considers planet yogas responsible for this. Let us see what role planetary combinations plays regarding love marriage in the birth-chart. According to Vedic Astrology, Venus is the significator of love. If Venus is in conjunction with the Ascendant, 5th, 7th, and 11th house then the person is very romantic. Love is a different thing and its conversion into marriage is different. According to Vedic Astrology, the 5th house is the house of love and the 7th house is the house of marriage. When both the houses form a relationship, then two lovers will tie the knot to marry each other. If the 5th house forms an auspicious relationship with the 9th house, two lovers will be blessed to marry each other and live happily ever after. Its not necessary that love marriage will be possible in only these circumstances. If there is no such combination in your birth-chart then there may be other combinations because of which you will have a successful love-life and will get your love as your life partner. If the lord of fifth house, Venus is placed in the seventh house or in its own house there is a possibility of love marriage. In addition, love marriage is also possible when Venus is placed in the Ascendant or in the Moon chart it is placed in the 5th house . Navmansh Kundali is considered as the body of the birth-chart. If there is no such yoga for love marriage in your birth-chart, but there is a combination of the 7th and 9th lord in the

Navmansh kundali, then there are high chances of love marriage. Similarly, If Venus is placed in the Ascendant along with the Ascendant-lord, there is a very strong chance for love-marriage. Saturn and Ketu are the malefic planets but their combination in the 7th house is benefic for the lovers. If the 5th lord is in conjunction or has its aspect on the 7th lord, the person will have a love-marriage. If Ascendant lord is combined with Moon in the Ascendant or the 7th lord is combined with Moon in the 7th house, it creates the yoga for love marriage . If the lord of the 7th house is in its own house then its lordship helps in love marriage. Due to the influence of malefic planets on the 11th house, the person may not able to marry his love but if it is free from the inauspicious influence of the malefic planets, he will marry the one he loves.

The Peril of Shakat Yoga In the birth chart just as the benefic Yoga gives benefic results, the presence of malefic yoga gives malefic results to the native. One of the feared malefic Yogas is the Shakat Yoga. Due to this Yoga, the native may face failures in life frequently if there is no combination to cancel the effect of this Yoga. Shakat means a Cart which moves on wheels. Just like the wheels move up and down, similarly, the person who has Shakat Yoga in their birth-chart sees many upheavals in life. According to Astrology, if this Yoga does is not cancelled by favorable combination, even a person born in a well-to-do family may face economic adversities and challenges in life. It is important to know how this yoga is canceled by favorable combinations but before that let us see howShakat Yoga is formed. The Combination for Shakat Yoga Shakat Yoga forms in the birth-chart when all the planets are present in the 1st and 7th House . Apart from this, the position of Jupiter and Moon also influence the occurrence of this Yoga. When Jupiter enters the 6th or in the 8th house from Moon and Jupiter is placed out from the Kendra Ascendant then it creates malefic Yoga in the birth chart. Due toShakat Yoga, the person may have to face economic, physical and mental problems. People who are suffering from this Yoga may not get support and respect they deserve for their good qualities. Cancellation of Shakat Yoga There is no need to be alarmed if even if Shakat Yoga is in your birth-chart, there is a saying that if nature makes you fall sick it also has a cure for your sickness. If the malefic combination of Shakat Yoga exists in your chart there could also be a positive combination which will help you combat its effects. According to Vedic Astrology if Moon is in a strong position, it gives the natives the strength to overcome the difficulties they may face due to Shakat Yoga and live their life with peace, respect and dignity. If the Ascendant lord and 12th lord are in the Ascendant, the native will lead a prosperous life even if he has to face some ups and downs. If Mars aspects Moon then Shakat Yoga will be canceled. In Shadbal, if Jupiter is better-placed than Moon or Moon is placed in exalted or its own sign then the malefic Yoga becomes less effective. When Rahu makes a combination with Moon in the birth-chart or Rahu aspects Jupiter then the malefic effect of Shakat Yoga will be canceled. If Moon or Jupiter is in the Kendra from the Ascendant or there is a conjunction of Venus and Moon in the birth-chart then even if there is Shakat Yoga, the person will have success and wealth. The situation is same when Moon is in Gemini, Virgo, Taurus or Libra signs and the there is a combination of Mercury and Venus in Cancer.

Madhusarpish Yoga is the Inauspicious Combination of Week, Lunar Day and Nakshatra In Vedic astrology the madhusarpish yoga is an inauspicious yoga formed by the combination of week, lunar day and nakshatra. The auspicious yogas become ineffective in giving positive results during madhusarpish yoga. The auspiciousness of favorable yogas is poisoned by this inauspicious combination of week, lunar day and nakshatra. Thats why this malefic combination is called madhusarpish yoga. Lets know how this yoga is formed and how it makes the auspicious Amritsiddhi yoga malefic by its negative impact. The combination of hasta and Sundays creates the auspicious amritsiddhi yoga but if the 5th lunar day falls in this combination it transforms in to malefic madhusarpish yoga. Mrigashira nakshatra and Mondays generate the auspicious amritsiddhi yoga but if the 6th lunar day combines with them it becomes the inauspicious madhusarpish yoga. The combination of 7th lunar day and Tuesdays with the transition of ashwini nakshatra makes this yoga. The conjunction of Wednesdays and anuradha nakshatra on the 8th lunar day gives birth to madhusarpish yoga. Kritika, Thursdays and 9th lunar day creates the madhusarpish yoga. Some of these Yogas are: Siddhi Yoga, Svarth Siddhi Yoga, Guru Pushya Yoga, Ravi Pushya Yoga, Pushkar Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, Raj Yoga, Dwipushkar Yoga and Tripushkar Yoga. Siddhi Yoga Siddhi Yoga is formed when there is a harmony between Day, Tithi and Nakshatra. This Yoga is auspicious on Mondays with Hast Nakshatra, but inauspicious if the tithi is 6th. Guru Pushya Yoga Due to the relation of Thursday and Pushya Nakshatra, this yoga is coined the Guru Pushya Yoga.
