the
students
reaction
to
David
pouring
out
the
water

crazy!
Etc.)

Use
the
pictures
to
show
the
difference
between
the
enemy
camp
Rephaim
Valley
and
Davids
Cave
of
Adullam
Rephaim
valley
is
luscious
and
green,
while
David
is
hiding
inside
a
desert
Cave~
Davids
position
is
really
tough.
His
army
is
smaller
than
the
enemies
He
has
nothing
to
drink.
Many
people
want
him
dead.
He
is
thirsty
and
really
wishes
for
water.
Slide
14:
Explain
what
the
word
Humble
means.
Explain
why
David
pouring
out
the
water
was
not
crazy,
but
the
best
gift
he
could
ever
give
to
God.
David
was
humbled
that
three
men
would
risk
their
lives
to
get
him
a
simple
cup
of
water.
Why?
Because,
David
realized
he
is
just
a
man,
a
sinner,
like
all
humans,
even
though
God
has
chosen
him
to
be
King.
The
water
is
priceless,
it
is
what
David
longed
for,
it
is
what
he
needs
to
live,
it
is
what
three
men
risked
their
lives
for.
This
cup
of
water
is
the
BEST
thing
that
he
has
to
give
at
this
moment
in
time,
so
instead
of
drinking
the
water
David
pours
it
out
in
offering
to
the
Lord!
Pour
the
cup
of
water
into
the
container
as
you
are
saying
He
(David)
poured
it
out
before
the
Lord

Samuel

Slide
15:
God
cares
about
the
QUALITY
of
what
we
give
him.
We
dont
all
have
to
be
Billionaires
that
give
a
lot
of
money
to
the
poor
or
Doctors
that
save
lives
everyday.
But,
we
do
need
to
live
everyday
doing
our
BEST
to
use
our
talents
for
God.

Stories
about
Davids
mighty
three
are
still
being
told
today.
They
lived
hundreds
of

ago,
but
they
are

Message
Summary:
They
never
gave
up
They
never
backed
down
They
were
men
of
integrity
They
gave
their
all
to
God
NOTE:
Everything
in
the
Bible
is
history.
These
places
really
did
exist,
but
make
sure
the
students
know
that
things
change
over
time.
The
Ancient
Well,
for
example,
would
not
have
had
metal
attached
to
it
hundreds
of
years
ago,
like
it
does
in
the
picture.
Also,
Rephaim
Valley
would
not
have
had
telephone
wires
and
roads.
~
If
they
bring
it
up
you
can
ask
them
to
imagine
no
roads,
no
wires,
just
a
huge
enemy
army
camped
out
waiting
to
attack
