Features and Curriculum of Program Our International Masters Program has aimed to foster the students as human resource that will help developing countries to be self-sustaining through our advanced technological education. In this program, owing to the selection by application documents, applicants dont need to come to Toyohashi Tech, Japan before their admission. Because the classes are instructed only in English, there are no language barriers. The Features of this program are as below: 1. Fostering International Leading Engineers and Scientists This program provides education of technology at high level to the international students, especially from developing countries, so as to foster the leading engineers and scientists contributing the important international/interdisciplinary projects such as global and/or local environmental, energy related problems, through the education in the Departments of Environmental and Life Sciences. Our university actively implements adoption of the JICA long-term training program, and also JDS (Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship) program. We have started Twinning Program with two of our partner universities, Institute Technology Bandung, Indonesia, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2008, and have had succeeded. 2. Fostering Leaders and Supervisors with general management ability Classes in relation to planning and management of business, social cultures, humanities and other subjects are supplied in this program, since, most of the graduates are expected to be future leaders and supervisors in many fields, such as in the government organizations, institutions, or universities. 3. Creation of the International Human Relationships Network A network of the international human relationships composed among graduates of this program, as well as those from the standard TUT program will contribute to creating important mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and global activation among the societies in Japan and many other foreign countries. 4. 12. Internship program Long term industrial training has been compulsorily provided for 4th year undergraduate students since our establishment. As we actively encourage university-industry collaboration, many of our laboratories conduct joint research projects with companies as well.

Integrated Electronics Course: The campus LSI factory, which provides a great opportunity to fabricate in-house integrated-circuit based devices, helps you acquire fundamental knowledge and techniques on the semiconductor devices, CMOS, MEMS, analog circuits, optoelectronics, micro- and nano-scale sensors, and their interdisciplinary applications. Information and Communication System Course: The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has progressed from telephone network to the Internet generation, and will be going toward ubiquitous network world. Outline The Architecture and Building Science course aims to educate students to become practical engineers by acquiring the skills of primary professional fields associated with architecture, including architectural design, urban and regional planning, architectural history, building services, built environment, and architectural structure plus basic knowledge and skills related to the field of civil and environmental engineering. The Architecture and Building Science course is mainly made up of six specialties. The Civil and Environmental Engineering course aims to educate students to become practical engineers by acquiring the skills of primary professional fields associated with civil and environmental engineering, including structural engineering, hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, urban and traffic planning, and environmental system plus basic knowledge and skills related to the fields of architecture. The Civil and Environmental Engineering course is mainly made up of four specialties.
Admission Policy The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering aims to train world-class, globally minded engineers with excellent leadership skills, and practical and creative abilities for the design and management of architecture, infrastructure and synthetic systems to maintain a sustainable society.
