Ranking & Achievements:

The Institute of Management Education (IME) was started in 1995 by a group of leading academicians and corporate executives in Northern India. Initially the institute was started with full time PGDM programme duly approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India , BBM ( BBA in 1996), and MCA as affiliated to MMTU in 1999. Over the past 15 years, it got established itself as one of the premier business schools of the country, which focuses on quality and value based education; research; and corporate leadership. With the mission to serve society by promoting excellence in education, the institute has diversified in the areas of Information Technology and Law, and has more than 3000 students in its various institutes. IME is running AICTE approved two year PGDM, PGDM (Marketing) programmes, three year PGDM (Part Time) programme, and three year MCA Programme affiliated to UP Technical University, Lucknow. Besides, IME offers BBA, BCA, B.Lib., M.Com. IME Law College affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University Meerut offers B.A LLB & LL.B programmes as approved by Bar Council of India. IME is known for academic excellence, research orientation, industry interactions and social responsibility. It has strong team of dedicated faculty; brilliant students; state-of-the-art infrastructure; strategic location; and a consistent good placement record. IME over the years has been taken steps to strengthen its academic programmes, faculty profile, infrastructure, and intellectual interface. This has also enabled it to improve its ranking in some of the highly prestigious B-School Surveys. Competition Success Review-GHRDC (November 2009) survey has ranked IME at 18th position in its list of top B-Schools of Excellence Business India (November-2009) has also rated IME as A+ among B-Schools in India. IME has been awarded B-School Leadership Award-2010 by Dainik Bhaskar for Best Promising B-School in North India. IME is ranked A++ by business sphere (May 2010). It has a chain of Institutes with a vision of imparting quality education in the areas of Management, Information Technology and Law. International Conference on Business Cases

International Conference on Business Cases- ICBC 2010 ICBC-2010, International Conference on Business Cases, was organized by Institute of Management Education, Ghaziabad and George Mason University School of Public Policy, Virginia, USA. It was the 04th International Conference being organized by Institute of Management Education, Ghaziabad. 30 renowned speakers from 11 countries have come to the campus for presenting their business cases in the conference. The prominent speakers at the conference were Prof. Yvon Pesqueux from national des Arts et Metiers (CNAM-France), Chair-Conference, Prof. H.P. Gupta, VC & ED, Institute of Management Education, Prof. Tojo Thatchenkary - USA, Prof. Gary Stockport - Australia, Mr. V.P. Rajesh, Member, Board of Institute of Management Education, Prof. G.D. Sardana, Co-ChairConference, Dr. B.S. Hothi Director, Keynote speakers Prof. Yvon Pesquesux and Prof. Gary Stockport highlighted the realistic aspects of failures and success of the business organizations in global scenario. The two days International Conference had two plenary sessions chaired by Prof. Katarzyna Czainska, from Poznan University, Poland and Prof. Tojo Thatchenkary. Twelve parallel technical sessions in which 70 research papers from UK, US, France, Australia, Germany, Japan, UAE, Malaysia, were presented.

Research & Publication

Research is an essential part of academic activity in any educational institution. The creation of new knowledge depends on research which is so very essential for a B-school. Publish or perish is the motto for academicians. Research remains a much neglected area in B-schools in India. Realising the importance of research, IME promotes Research actively. Faculty members get a conducive atmosphere for carrying out academic activities apart from regular teaching. At a time when most BSchools ignore research, IME encourages faculty to carry out research and publish in national and international journals. IME encourages faculty to present papers in conferences and attend workshops and seminars. Expenses on such account are borne by the Institute. Conferences and Seminars Conferences and seminars are organized in order to promote research and interaction with academia of other educational institutes as well as the industry. The Institute is making it a regular feature to hold conferences giving opportunity to own faculty as well as academicians and practitioners from outside IME to meet and exchange ideas. IME successfully & continuously holding National and International Seminars & Conferences. IME Publications The Institute publishes a bi-annual journal: "The IME Journal" which is a national level refereed journal and has prominent academicians from India and abroad on its advisory board. The objective of the Journal is to provide research and data support to the academicians, researchers, corporate sector and policy makers. It equips the students with latest development and trends in the areas of Management and Information Technology. It publishes Research Papers, Articles, Case Studies, Book Review, Bibliography, etc. The selection of the articles in this Journal is done through a blind review process. For enhancing knowledge and sharing the conceptualized experiences of the practitioners, IME also publishes in-house magazines in Management and IT, namely Vaishnavi and e-shastra respectively.

Facilities at IME

Lecture Rooms The Institute has spacious classrooms in Wi-Fi building/campus. Class rooms are air conditioned and provided with facilities to ensure effective imparting of knowledge to the students. Every class room is fitted with an LCD projector and computer, green board, white board and sound system. Each students of PGDM and MCA is provided with laptop to facilitate learning in / out of campus. Learning Resource Centre Library is the heart of any academic institution. The objective of the library is to provide an environment which is conducive to high quality teaching, learning and research. At IME, we realize this and offer excellent library facilities for students and faculty. IME has a fully Automated library run on Libsys software which can work in multi-user network environment. The library provides a rich collection of magazines, journals, books as well as CDs. The library is a collection of more than 30,000 books and 144 national and international journals. The library has also subscribed for an online journal Infotech Management Collection (IMC). The library provides the following services: Document Delivery Service (DDS) Reference Service and Assistance (RSA) Inter-library Loan (ILL) Photocopy service On-line Databases Organization of Book Exhibitions

This database can be of great help to researchers. The Capitaline and CMIE Prowess database is also available and can be used to access industry wise and company wise data for the country.

Facilities at IME

Library Facilities Excellent library facilities provided by the Institute facilitate research by students and faculty of IME. A rich collection of books, journals and magazines are available as an aid to research and online databases: Emerald, Prowess and Capitaline are a tremendous help for researchers in accessing full text journal articles and industry data respectively. Computer Centre Computing facilities form an integral part of any BSchool. IME offers excellent computing facilities in its state-of-art computer labs. There are four labs with more than 360 computers of latest configuration with i3 processor. These labs cater to computer courses and also provide common computing facilities with latest softwares. Internet is available 24x7 at the campus through a leased line of 7 MBPS 1:1 and campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The whole campus, including classrooms, is wi-fi connected for Internet. Hostellers are also provided with internet connectivity at their convenience. Sports & Gymnasium Students require a healthy mind in a healthy body. Keeping this in mind, IME provides regular sports facilities. The facilities for both indoor and outdoor games are excellent, including fully equipped gymnasium. Power Back up Uninterrupted power supply is a must for smooth functioning of any educational institution. Power shortages can make a great dent on productivity and hamper normal functioning. In order to take care of power shortages, the Institute has a full power back up in the form of different DG sets round the clock. Drinking Water Water borne diseases owe their spreading through contaminated or polluted drinking water. Such diseases are common in India. IME has installed a centralized Reverse Osmosis plant for drinking water. Hostel The Institute offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostel facilities consist of neat, well maintained, spacious rooms. Dining facilities are available through a co-operative mess run by the students. Music Club IME music Club facilitates music lovers by organizing regular classes on vocal & instrumental at IME Campus. It invites music talent across the country for various performance and competitions.

Corporate Resource Centre at IME actively involves itself in corporate interface, training & development, live projects, on the job trainings, personality development programmes and final placement of the students. Placement provides a fitting finale to the two year rigorous PGDM program and three years MCA Programme at IME. IME has a consistently good placement record over the years. The Institute provides the placement assistance to its students and also focuses on career development of the students. The Institute has a huge alumni network holding higher positions in corporate sector across the globe. The Institute of Management Education has recently collaborated with First Naukri.com for the placement assistance to its students of PGDM & MCA. First Naukri.com (A Naukri.com group portal) is a jobsite for campus hiring. The Institute has also organized Placement Fortnight for PGDM & MCA Programmes, in which many companies from varied sectors participated and conducted various talent specific activities for hiring of students. A successful pool campus drive of a reputed firm was also organized, wherein 15 institutes across Delhi & NCR participated. The average basic package went high by 25% this year for PGDM students. More than hundred companies from varied sectors participated in the placement process. The students were successful in placing themselves across various lucrative positions.

Mission & Objective The mission of the CRC (Corporate Resource Centre) is to help students define their educational and career goals as well as acquire employability skills and ultimately attain desired employment. The objectives of the Training & Placement Department are specifically: To assist students in developing/clarifying their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions. To assist students in developing and implementing successful job searching strategies. To assist employers in achieving their hiring goals. To serve the community by providing access to our campus wide placement activities & other resources for career enhancement. To empower students with life-long career decision-making skills. To facilitate the career planning process by providing resources and multiple activities. To ac t as a link bet ween students, alumni and the recruiters/employers. To upgrade the students skill sets in line with the expectations of the industry. To generate awareness amongst the students regarding future career options available to them. To assist the Corporate in recruiting candidates as per their requirements. To assist students in obtaining final placement in a reputed organization. To place PGDM & MCA students in different companies for training (PGDM: 6-8 Weeks, MCA: 16-20 weeks) after second & fifth semesters respectively.

Beyond Academics
Life at IME goes beyond academics. The Institute has a busy schedule of organizing different programmes in almost every month. IME Club This club is a multidimensional forum facilitating personality development and sporting activities.
