Installation Procedure
Step 1: - Browse the setup folder from the CD and run the setup program (By double clicking the setup Icon.) The application setup wizard will start. Step 2: - A welcome screen would appear; click Next to proceed. Step 3: - This is the license agreement of the CD; you have to accept the terms of the agreement in order to move further. Click on I Agree and then click Next.
In case you do not have Internet connection then register from Internet Cafe, please copy the CD Key and System Code generated by the system, go to the URL : 'http://www.ICSI.edu/ICSISM/index.htm' and follow the necessary information. Get the Activation Code, click on 'Get your Product Activated' button and fill in the form.
To repair the Study Material Software insert the CD and run the setup again.
Step 4: - Select Installation folder. Step 5: - Confirm Installation Step 6: - Finish the set up process, click close CD Activation Information After successfully installing the application on your PC you will see an icon (like: ICSI Study Material) on your desktop. Clicking that icon present you with the CD activation screen. From here onwards follows the process of CD Activation.
1. Please enter the 10 digit CD Key No. as provided on CD inlay card, then click on 'Get System Code' button. 2. Enter Name, Company Name, Designation, Address, City, Pin, Phone No. and Email address. 3. If you have internet connection then click on 'Activate Online' button to activate the product. 4. In case you do not have Internet connection then register from Internet Cafe, please copy the CD Key and System Code generated by the system, go to the URL ' http://www.ICSI.edu/ICSISM/index.htm' and follow the necessary information. Get the Activation Code, click on 'Get your Product Activated' button and fill in the form.
Exploring the CD When you start the application the first page as it appears will look like this. The details of the buttons are listed below:

The first method is through the left Navigation column wherein the CD can be read as a book, like going through the book page by page. The second method allows you to search a particular topic or text through various search interfaces. Exploring the CD through Left Navigation Pane: In this view you will find a hierarchy of topics chapter wise as similar to a book. You can traverse through this hierarchy as you turn for page by page information. You can expand the selection by just click on the plus button. This way you can go in depth of each topic.
Exploring the CD through Various Search Options: The application is equipped with four powerful search modules. Study Material Search Search Within Search Results
This search module is for searching the text from the study material available for all the subjects in CD. You can restrict your search to a particular subject or all by selecting the appropriate subject options.
Select Subject: You have to select a particular subject/s by clicking on the check box. The chapters from the selected subjects will be listed in the Select Chapter box. Select Chapter: You may select the Chapter/s under the subjects in which case the search would

be limited to these Chapters.(This is Optional) Search in Heading: This field would search the specified word/s from the headings in the Chapter. This is a multiple word search wherein you can search several words at a single point of time. Each world is to be separated by a coma (,). Keyword Search: This is where you can enter any word desired to be searched from the full text of the study. You can also generalize or specialize your search by choosing any of the appropriate option like: All words, Any word, and Exact phrase.

Search Within Search Results After you have searched your query from the study material, you have the option to further refine your search by using this search interface.

After you have performed any search, you have the option of saving that search through this button. Click on the button and select save search result to activate this option. Write the name with which you want to save the results in the save result as column, click save to save your Search result.

View Search Results This option enables you to view the earlier saved searches. Click on this button and select view saved search result to activate this option. You have to click on the Plus button (+) of the module where you had earlier saved your Search result, select the saved search & Click show to display the saved search.

After you have performed a search, you open a particular document, now if you want to again go back to the search result you have to click this button.

Delete Saved Search Results This option enables you to delete the earlier saved searches. Click on this button and select delete search result to activate this option. You have to click on the plus button (+) of the module where you had earlier saved your search result, select the saved search and click Delete to delete the saved search.

Save Notes Select the portion of the document which you want to add in Notes. Right click on the selected portion. Select the option make notes of the above screen appear give a name to the note and click save button.

View Notes Click on the ( ) button, select view notes click on the note which you want to view and then click view notes.

Search Notes Click on the ( ) button, enter the keyword you want to search, click on Search Notes to get the results.
