Reading and listening: Road construction at Buguma
Buguma is a very important town in River-state. It is nvennl area because it is surrounded by rivers.
The town is linked to other towns and village by water ways. Inside the town, there are many land roads
used by motorists and motorcyclists.
Water transportation is very expensive. The government is now constructing a road. When the road is
finished, people can travel on land. The contractor in charge of the road is Engineer Kamil.
Buguma people are happy to see the engineer working on the road. They are showing their happiness by
singing and dancing will make the workers do the work well.
Children are watching the workers with great interest, some young men are hunting for snakes and rodent.
When this road is finished, transportation becomes easier for the people of Buguma. It will also help
people from Degema, Abonima and Borni.
