Anglers will be seeking to tag the baby fish with modified tagging equipment to limit the stress induced from the regular tagging equipment.

Due to poor performance over the last few years the bluewater blast typically held late in the dry season has been dropped from the competition lineup. The committee and the supporters of the club are hoping that the license buy back from within Roebuck Bay will help to increase the status of the recreational fishery and boost competitor numbers for those competitions held within the bay, offestting the loss of the blast.
