Human-computer interaction is a discipline concerned with designing, evaluating, and implementing interactive computing systems for human use and studying phenomena around them. Interface refers to a boundary where two independent systems meet and communicate with each other. Usability is defined by how easy a system is to learn and use, how efficiently tasks can be performed, how easily previous proficiency is regained after time away, how many errors occur and how easily users can recover from them, and the overall satisfaction of using the system. Interaction design involves designing interactive products to support how people communicate and interact in their daily lives. The user interface is the space where interaction between humans and machines occurs. A graphical user interface allows users to easily work with a computer by pointing

HCI Human-computer interaction is a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for

human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them. Interface A boundary across which two independent systems meet and act on or communicate with each other (Source: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/I/interface.html) Usability Usability is defined by 5 quality components: Learnability: How easy is it for users to accomplish basic tasks the first time they encounter the design? Efficiency: Once users have learned the design, how quickly can they perform tasks? Memorability: When users return to the design after a period of not using it, how easily can they reestablish proficiency? Errors: How many errors do users make, how severe are these errors, and how easily can they recover from the errors? Satisfaction: How pleasant is it to use the design?
