We're excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Dixon GPS Program, which offers current Honors students the opportunity for international travel, specialized courses, and intensive advising aimed at preparing students for the Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, and other prestigious scholarships. The program is open to all first- and second-year Honors students. To apply, go to the Honors College Web Page under "Current Students." Applications must be submitted by February 3, 2014 (letters of recommendation are due February 5, 2014). Final selection will be based on your transcript, written application, and (for those selected) a personal interview. Dixon GPS students will travel to Brussels, Belgium, and Strasbourg, France, in May 2014, with the majority of costs covered by the Honors College. They will also be required to enroll in two specialized courses--one on the "World of Ideas" and one on the "International Public Policy Process" in Fall 2014 and Spring 2015, respectively. Dixon GPS students will also have many other educational opportunities available to them. Information Sessions will be held tonight, Tuesday, January 21 from 5-6pm in the Holmes Hall Multipurpose Room and tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22 from 12:30-1:30pm in the Holmes basement conference room.
