ginning to a more hopeful future for homeless pets in this area, said a spokesperson. Any profit from this event will be returned to the sponsoring organizations to continue their rescue efforts. Okefenokee Humane Society has recently received a windfall of materials from the now closed Miracle Ranch of Ludowici. Under Karen Talbot (of Hammonton, N.J.), assisted by Prince Lorenzo Borghese, thousands of dogs were rescued over the period of time they were there. In October, at the largest rescue ever in Georgia, more than 400 animals were transported by van, car and plane to various locations in the northeast. Talbots rescue organization is now based in Waycross and OHS has the mobile unit, kennels, buildings and equipment to dramatically expand services and capacity. The expo represents the first event uniting rescue efforts for the area and promises to be the beginning of a renewed effort to impact the problem of abandoned and homeless pets in southeast Georgia. Diane Cloud tells Miriams story for Trinity Keenagers. grew weary of waiting and eventually gave the room to Lydia, her daughter. In time, Lydia brought Nathan, a shepherd boy, to meet her parents. They were disappointed, angry and sad, but finally gave their consent and blessings on the couple. Lydia went to live as a shepherds wife. Sometime later, the inn became a home for Rubin who was handicapped and alone. Miriam did not like Rubin and spent most other time longing for Lydia. One day Rubin was sent by Simon to tell Miriam about a

Nathan came later, awakened Miriam and Simon, and told them of an encounter with angels and the message they had brought. Miriam came to realize that the babe was in a manger, but it was a worthless shepherd who was told, not her. She went out to see for herself and heard a voice singing. It was coming from Mary, the babes mother. In time, Miriam began to understand that helping others would be helping Him. She became a new person. The Promise had come. Her response was to help those in need, the poor, the down-trodden and others. White, before dismissing the group, offered any leftover food to be taken home. He also gave a reminder of the Keenager choirs cantata to be presented that following Sunday during the evening service. In closing, he wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
