Exp 4

The document describes an experiment to verify that NAND and NOR gates are universal logic gates. It provides background concepts on logic gates and their symbols and truth tables. The experiment objectives are to understand how NAND and NOR gates can be used to realize AND, OR and NOT gates. The required equipment includes an IC 7400 NAND gate, IC 7402 NOR gate, breadboard, wires and an LED. Circuit diagrams are provided to realize the basic gates using NAND and NOR gates. The procedure involves building the circuits on a breadboard and observing the output logic levels. The observation table will show that any boolean expression can be implemented using only NAND or NOR gates, verifying them as universal gates.
