The te1t should commence 4 spaces below this heading. The page numbering for all items : to :: should be done using lower case Roman numerals and the pages thereafter should be numbered using Arabic numerals. Ta$le of Contents A The table of contents should list all material following it as well as any material which precedes it. Appendices A Appendices are provided to give supplementary information, which if included in the main te1t may serve as a distraction and cloud the central theme under discussion. This section includes additional information for final typing of the term paper project. Some information given earlier under C0anuscript preparationC shall also be referred. The impression on the typed duplicated printed copies should be blac" in color. -ertain symbols, characters or mar"ings not found on a standard typewriter may be hand written using !ndian !n". -orrections, interlineations and crossing out of letters or words will not be permitted in any of the copies of the project intended for submission. A subAheading at the bottom of a page must have at least two full lines below it or else it should be carried over to the ne1t page. The last word of any page should not be split using a hyphen. .ne and half spacing should be used for typing the general te1t. Dou$le spacing should be used for typing the Bona fide Certificate and Ac)no'ledgement.

Chapters The format for typing chapter headings, division headings, sub division headings are

without punctuation on the upper right hand corner. The preliminary pages of the project 2such as Title page, Ac"nowledgement, Title of contents etc.3 should be numbered in lower case Roman numerals. The title page will be numbered as 2i3 but this should not be typed. The page immediately following the title page shall be numbered 2ii3 and it should appear at the top right corner as already specified. #ages of main te1t, starting with -hapter : should be consecutively numbered using Arabic numerals. The numbering of -hapters, divisions and subdivisions should be done using Arabic numerals only and further decimal notation should be used for numbering the divisions and subdivisions with in a chapter. &or e1ample, sub division 4 under division @ belonging to chapter 6 should be numbered as [email protected]. The caption for the sub division should immediately follow the number assigned to it. *very chapter beginning with the first chapter should be serially numbered using Arabic numerals. Tables and &igures appearing anywhere in the project should bear appropriate numbers. !f a figure in -hapter @ happens to be the fourth, then assign @.4 to that figure. !dentical rules apply for tables e1cept that the word &igure is replaced by the word Table. !f figures 2or tables3 appear in appendices then figure @ !n Appendi1 6 will be designated as &igure A 6.@. !f a table to be continued into the ne1t page this may be done, but no line should be drawn underneath an unfinished table. The top line of the table continued into the ne1t page should, for e1ample read Table 6.: 2contained3 place centrally and underlined.
