Cable Size Calculations

This document provides information for calculating cable sizes for a 33kV power distribution system, including: 1) Fault level calculations and substation information for 13 substations on the 33kV system ranging from 2-4 transformers each with capacities of 3-6.3MVA. 2) Short circuit current calculations for each substation from 1.29-1.83kA. 3) Cable sizing calculations based on the short circuit current plus 20% for each substation, ranging from 27-270kA. 4) Recommended cable sizes of 95mm2 or 120mm2 based on the cable sizing calculations.
