REASONING

CODING-DECODING

(i) If a number starts with an odd number then that odd number should be codified as 'X'. (ii) If a number ends with an even number then that even number should be codified as 'V. (iii) Numbers 4 and 9 should always be codified as 'Z' whenever they are neither at the beginning nor at the end. Excluding cases given at (i), (ii) and (iii), the numbers should be codified as per letter codes given above. Ex. 9. Which of the following will be the code for 56728 ? (1) XFGBH (2) XFGBY (3) EFGBY (4) EFGBH (5) None of these Ex 10. Which of the following will be the code for 274601? (1) BGDFJA (2) XGDFJY (3) YGZFJA (4) BGDFJX (5) None of these Ex 11. Which of the following will be the code for 245376? (1) YDECGF (2) BDECGY (3) BZECGY (4) BZECGF (5) None of these Ex. 12. Which of the following will be the code for 498756? (1) XZHGEF (2) CZHGEY (3) XIHGEY (4) XZHGEY (5) None of these

TYPE IV : CODE CONSISTING OF SYMBOLS In this type of questions certain symbols and notations are used for coding certain words or letters. Ex. 1. In a certain code 'E' is written as '$', 'F' is written as '', 'H' as ' 'I' as '@', 'R' as 'S' as '#' and ' Y as %. How is 'FISHERY written in that code language?
