Muffles
SiC muffles are a high performance, low cost alternative to alloy muffles. SiC provides excellent thermal conductivity and good corrosion, thermal shock and wear resistance. High purity alumina muffles provides exceptional purity required in atmosphere furnaces; they have good hot strength and wear resistance.
Hearth plates
SiC plates provide superior oxidation resistance, wear resistance, thermal efficiency and strength. Alumina and Mullite plates provide good strength and purity in atmosphere furnaces where chemical compatibility is important. Alundum and Alfrax high-purity alumina brick offer exceptional purity required in atmosphere furnaces.

Radiant Tubes
Crystar RB and Silit SK SiC radiant tubes provide greater corrosion and temperature resistance than alloys. SGIC is the first manufacturer in the U.S. to produce these gas-tight tubes.
Kiln furniture
(e.g., setters, saggers, pusher plates, batts, boats) SiC and Alumina kiln furniture enhance productivity in demanding applications. They deliver thermal shock resistance, chemical compatibility, creep resistance, oxidation resistance and dimensional stability.
Beams
SiC beams offer excellent strength and oxidation resistance. Saint-Gobain is the leader in engineering LO-MASS SiC designs used to increase setting space in load-bearing applications.
